No Static Automatic is back with a ferocious offering from two pillars of the UK electro scene: The Dexorcist & Bass Junkie aka Kronos Device.

The Dexorcist grew up on a diet of ‘80s electro, hip hop and Miami bass before graduating to acid house, techno, bleep and bass. Involved in London’s warehouse scene throughout the ‘90s and heading up the Control Tower label alongside Keith Tenniswood of Two Lone Swordsmen, The Dexorcist has gone on to release music on seminal labels like Furthur Electronix, Super Rhythm Trax, and Yellow Machines.

On the other side of the workshop, we have Phil Klein aka Bass Junkie. A devoted electro head from the start, Bass Junkie has been active as a DJ, live act and producer since the late ‘80s. His signature take on gnarly, bass-led electro led him to work with artists like Radioactiveman, Egyptian Lover, and Dynamix II; releasing on Touchin’ Bass, Elektrix, and DMX Krew’s Breakin’ Records, not to mention his own Battle Trax imprint.

Here, The Dexorcist and Bass Junkie join forces again as Kronos Device, serving up an impeccable 4-tracker of pulsing grit, extra-terrestrial bass and funky machine hydraulics.

A lazy Sunday afternoon in the studio today lead me to do a DVS NME version of my favorite Drexciya song of all time! I had just finished listening to 'The Quest' over breakfast and so it was really fresh in my mind. So when I stepped in front of the Arp Odyssey, I ended up making the bass sound that drives my version of the track. This song has always perfectly encapsulated what James and Donald's music means to me. So mysterious, funky, soulful, catchy, intriguing, and just so goddamn good. I didn't love everything they ever did but this song is just one of those tracks that reminds me why I love Electro music. It ranks, in my mind, as just important as Kraftwerk's 'Numbers' or Afrika Bambaataa's 'Planet Rock'. Absolutely timeless music that makes me feel inspired. All that having been said, I chose not to change the song much from the original structure because of how much simply adore it. This is my version of Drexciya's 'Dehydration'. Stay deep, stay pressurized.

The first time you hear Sonic Alchemy: Pathways And Transmutations, you might think you're listening to a soundtrack for a movie that hasn't been made yet. Cliff Dalton invites you to close your eyes and let your mind's eye roam free, to explore the hidden depths of your imagination.

As you journey through the album's six tracks, you'll encounter a wealth of different moods and atmospheres. From the ominous drones and pulsating rhythms of "Ancient Sorcery" to the tranquil beauty of "The Lake", each track is like a chapter in a novel that you can't put down.

One thing that is unique about Cliff Dalton's music is his ability to conjure up vivid imagery with sound. Take "Headswim", for example. The track opens with a disorienting swirl of synths, like you're being pulled through a vortex while hearing strange noises in the distance. You're not sure where you are, but you know you need to keep moving forward.

Elsewhere on the album, Cliff Dalton shows his versatility as a producer. "Estuarium" is a slow-burning dub track, while "Have Mercy" is a delicate, melancholy piece that showcases his skill with melody.  DVS NME is an Electro music producer/deejay and Post-Punk enthusiast living in Colorado. He runs a daily blog called 'Dark Science Electro' which features news, live sets, guest mixes, upcoming shows, and throwbacks, as well as a weekly podcast that publishes every Friday on Soundcloud.

He is also an accomplished and prolific Electro music producer. With production techniques ranging from software to hardware and everything in between, and spanning a multitude of genres, he has been producing music since 2000. He has collaborated with the likes of Franck Kartell, Das Muster, MetaComplex, Koova, Faceless Mind, Komarken Electronics, Deemphasis, and more. I have been making music on and off for other 10 years and it's his way to escape from every day life. I have always loved music of all genres. Growing up in Yorkshire in the 70's and 80's I was brought up on groups such as Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dreams and the Who. The 80's changed a lot for me when the begin of electronic music started to hit the scene. Breakdance and the music surrounding it was the thing I remembers the most. Along came the 90's and my love of music just grow with the acid/rave scene along with the Brit-pop scene. But it wasn't until the end of the 90's I discovered how to make music on a computer and this fascinated me so much.
Electro has been to be my first love ever since I first listened to Kraftwerk back in the early 80's. Then my first release comes in 2016 on Urban Connections for the label compilation of VA “Fifth Element”, which was the beginning of a continuous collaboration with the label until today. 
Have worked on remixes for the likes of Cybereign.
I have created an EP "The Cure" on Urban Distorsions record label as well as my debut album "Perfect Machine" on Urban Connections Label.
I have also featured on the the fund raising album "CAREBOTS" by Bass Agenda Records.
