My days, what a tune, was not expecting this at all. Has a wicked little Loadstar kind of flow to it, bassline is gorgeous. Definitely my favourite from the EP.

2DB are back. For those who aren’t aware, this is the alter-ego of award-winning production team Drumsound & Bassline Smith. Yeah, them. With their legendary status in the D&B world and a string of high-profile releases, when these guys step into the studio, you want to pay attention.
First, the title track, Motion. Epic strings and piano instantly draw you into a cinematic landscape before the rasp of mid-range synths and a building kick-drum progression signal the arrival of the iron fist drop. As grinding bass weaves with tough drums, this just keeps building.
And that’s just the warm-up. Next we have Faith in You, with vocal snippets and bleeps swirling into the mix and evoking the old skool sensibility that the 2DB name is known for. And when the bass hits, it delivers an irresistible dose of twenty-first century funk
Then we go deeper. Pink Floyd is science fiction music. The dancefloor is taken on a journey through time, floating past elements from mid-nineties jungle and the many influences that era drew from. This is one for the true heads, for those that know.
Now, 2DB take you into the pure dancefloor vibes of Teethgrinder. When you want to inject some energy into the party, this provides the bouncing bassline and street-hard beats you’ll draw for.
And as if you needed more, we have a bonus: Paris-based DJ Yox’s rework of the classic Original Sound System Style. The junglist essence of the track is twisted into a state-of-the-filthy-art rave smasher that’s a perfect DJ weapon.
From the deep to the dirty, from the classic to the modern, the Technique bosses have packaged it all into a selection that’s guaranteed to get blasted through radios and speaker stacks worldwide.

Austrian-German trio Nowhere, Nightsub & Klinac make their debut on Hoofbeats Music with a track that’s as emotionally rich as it is rhythmically daring. “All Mine” is a beautifully fractured piece of melodic drum & bass that blends intricate, broken percussion with lush harmonies and a haunting vocal hook that lingers long after the final beat.

From the opening pads to the final fade-out, the track builds a cinematic atmosphere—ethereal yet grounded, intimate yet expansive. The vocal refrain “all mine” floats like a memory through shimmering synths and layered textures, while the drums twist and turn in unexpected ways, creating a groove that’s both hypnotic and unpredictable. Behind the production are three rising names from the Central European underground. Klinac, hailing from Austria, forges his sound in the shadows of the underground dancefloor—focusing not only on neurofunk, but on deeper rhythmic tensions and emotive textures. His club-tested sensibility is the backbone of the track. Nightsub, based in Germany, brings an ear for subtle detail and melodic depth that shines through in every shimmering passage. And together with Nowhere, their frequent collaborator, they form a synergy that’s both technically refined and emotionally resonant.

Whether you’re deep in a headphone session or lost in a late-night set, “All Mine” delivers a listening experience that’s both cerebral and soulful.

Centuries had passed since the initial arrival of the extraterrestrial sonic emitter on the planet’s surface, and the culture of the beings who inhabited that world had evolved much since the initial encounter. They now composed great musical works of their own, and over time, the alien device had come to lie forgotten, buried beneath the dense jungle floor and still festooned by the decorative textiles that its original inheritors had attached to celebrate its wondrous powers. Here it lay for ages until, in searching for the origins of their ancestors, a group of explorers discovered the idol of the bass cult once more.

The discovery was at first one of bemusement - an obvious hoax played by a rival expedition, perhaps. For so fine a speaker to be discovered so far from modern civilization was an absurd concept. Yet there was something about the craftsmanship, an intricate, spiraling pattern etched into its enclosure that was mirrored in the artworks of the ancient peoples of these lands. Their ancestors could not have crafted such a device, so where then could it have come from? As the leader of the expedition lifted it from the soil, the device rang out with a sonorous & soothing hum, enrapturing all those who stood gathered before their new discovery as it rattled their bodies with low-frequency sound. Thus it was that THE CULT OF BASS was born anew, and the alien artifact’s powers were resurgent once again
