The amazing L 33 returns for Addictive Behaviour, with his latest release, Melt/Let Loose. His signature sweeping, crushing sound is here in full and total effect, and he once again fits in perfectly with the label, always forward thinking, always cutting edge. His experiences with Addictive Behaviour and other labels, including Program, Eatbrain and Rise Audio means that he’s now upped his game, and is fast rising through the underground.

Melt is a slowly building masterpiece, where electronic themes are established early. An interesting spoken sample bleeds into the main section, were haunting flutes are inserted over the top of some rich pads and ticking drum effects. The bassline is not forgotten, and once an energetic break comes along, the low end rises up in the mix, making the total package something totally unique and absurdly addictive. L 33 really can do it all, producing a track the like of which you’ve definitely not heard yet.

Mayan Audio presents the 'Kalima Ep' an insight to the labels variety of styles from Mayan's home grown talent with this colossus 5 track sacrifice. This truly is the beginning of something special with the Ep showcasing the fresh new talent Mayan has to offer!

The five tracks on Kalima will broaden your palette of what drum & bass can be, so prepare yourselves for a trip. Opening track Lazer Eye, from Tuff Touch, is a bouncing, storming break-led intro to
the EP, which cuts and rips its way into reality. Don’t you dare sleep on this one, it’s red hot. This is closely followed by Phobia, by Traced. With just a touch of the old skool, the producer creates an entire world, in which the beats fly by at breakneck speed and the basslines leave you breathless. A massive track, and no mistake.
Next, jump into The Summons, by the one Roklo. Pure fire in the dance on this one, as it builds and drops like a waterfall. Electronic pulses help to push the track on, with clashing samples and enough weight to move mountains. Mayan have varied the flavours on the EP, but all of the tracks are united with a sense of purpose and direction. The EP showcases what the music is and what it can be in the right hands, hands like those of Mayan Audio. Next stop is Kritix, who provides the VIP of Traction, featuring Coppa. This one’s simply huge, and forms a fitting fix up to what became an underground anthem with the original.
The closing track forms in the shape of the dramatic Fade To White, from White Room. Breaks smash through this one, matched with epic, emotional piano and affecting vocals. Again this one has a classic feel to it, and will be rinsed up and down the nation in the clubs and on the radio.

Various Artists – Technique Goes to Let It Roll

The biggest drum 'n' bass event on Earth, bringing together tens of thousands of ravers and hundreds of artists over three days and nights, is Let it Roll. As if that wasn't insane enough, this August, the award winning Czech festival will be graced with a Technique Recordings Label Night. And, there's brand new music to mark the occasion properly.

Opening proceedings is a VIP relick of a tune from Drumsound & Bassline Smith's massive 2017 album “Wardance”. This version of “Control” ramps up the energy from the first bar, with insistently percussive synths leading the way. Then the pulsing, stomping drop, driven by a bassline with an extra layer of grit, is sculpted for maximum rave destruction. Explosive.

“Vybez” delivers us into a trademark Tantrum Desire cinematic opening. Expansive pads stretch into the distance as subtle hints of drum edge towards us over the horizon. There's no way you're going to see the dark, scything drop coming, with a screwface bassline that screams out for a reload. This is going to cut through sub-genre divisions and take heads off at the biggest festivals and grottiest raves alike.

Then Technique's latest recruits, No Concept, take to the stage. They've already proven capable of creating multiple styles, and with “Make Noize” they've built a monster. The long tension-ramping build supported by that “make some noise” sample writes a very big cheque, but the drop is more than capable of cashing it. The warping and twisting bassline, those gut-punch drums, and the adrenaline-shot fills combine into an absolute beast of a tune.

Finally L Plus gives us “Let Roll the World”. Gigantic uplifting arpeggios set the tone in the intro. The “let it roll” dialogue clip adds an extra boost of hype. And then there's an almighty drop which rattles off a full polyrhythmic ammo belt. A syncopated pattern in the bass weaves in and out of switching percussion instruments while a rock-solid kick and snare provide the scaffolding that holds it all together. Powerful stuff.

Even in this four-track mini-compilation, the strength and depth of production skill on show makes it very clear why Technique is such a revered label. And it also demonstrates exactly why their Label Night at Let it Roll in August is going to be unmissable.

For the third year running, Viper Recordings are teaming up with powerhouse American brands Bassrush/Insomniac to bring you Bassrush 3.0, a massive compilation album celebrating the very best of drum & bass music featuring the hottest D&B talent from North America and beyond, once again bringing you an unmissable selection. Ahead of the full release, Viper and Bassrush are dropping three samplers, the first featuring a remix of one of the label’s iconic tunes, BMotion’s ‘Something Something’, by newcomer Giganti (UK) and a collaborative single from Consouls (US) and Kronology (US), ‘Like That’.  
 
‘Something Something’ has seen massive success across the drum & bass circuits since its original release in 2014 with support from DJ Marky, Friction, Metrik and more. It has also been a consistent favourite of Netsky’s, who recently played the track in front of tens of thousands of people at the prestigious Let It Roll Festival. Now, four years on from the original, the track has been given a fresh new remix from Giganti, taking the record to new heights. Giganti is a talented and exciting new signing to Viper who has caught Futurebound’s attention – and for good reason. 

The flip side of the single comes from American producers Consouls and Kronology. With an original release earlier this year on Bassrush, Viper are proud to release the track as part of this massive compilation. A lush, alluring atmosphere is created right from the start, producing a cinematic quality that draws the listener in before tearing things up with the drop. Perfectly striking the balance between elegant and destructive, ‘Like That’ is as sure a sign as any of the growing strength of the drum & bass scene in North America.

Representing both sides of the globe, these two tracks serve as but a teaser of what is to come from the rest of the compilation. With a total of 15 exclusive tracks, Bassrush 3.0 is set to be one of the biggest releases of 2018 – keep an eye out for Part Two on the 14th September and Part Three on the 21st, with the rest of the album out on 28th September 2018 from Viper Recordings and Bassrush.
