BCCO Premiere: DLV & FANK - Between The Lines [SRVA02]

For its sixth extended play, Introspective welcomes back Specific Objects with his latest release, entitled "Overcoming". A five-track EP that channels both his artistic development and his sharpened sense for dance floor-driven productions.

Built around three original productions, Overcoming brings together precise percussion, heavy low-end pressure, and reflective textures. The EP stays true to Specific Objects’ sound while pushing into new, bolder territory. Each track balances emotional tension with dancefloor intent, tracing a path between resistance and release.

Rounding off the project, two heavy-weight remixes bring distinct reinterpretations: DLV injects peak-time urgency, while Rudosa's “In The Groove Mix” deepens the hypnosis with his trademark rolling pressure. Together, they reinforce the EP’s tension between control and catharsis. A fitting addition to the evolving Introspective catalog.

"Overcoming" EP is now available for pre-order on Bandcamp, and will be fully released on the 1st of August across all streaming platforms.

It is with a feverish excitement that we can finally announce the next EP in our catalog from our newest addition to the Second State family: Amelie Lens. Besides being quite a multi-talented virtuoso, the Belgian artist comes in hot and heavy for her debut release ‘Let It Go’ and with it showcases her prowess for dark, cutting-edge techno. Over the span of four tracks Lens takes us on a tour-de-force journey into the cerebral spaces of large, dark rooms and flashing strobe lights. Kicking things off is the hypnotically inducing 'Wild' with looping vocals laid over an ever increasing pressure of percussion and white noise. Much like the EP opener, 'Linger On' casts the same spell yet picks up the pace with racing snares and meteoric synth washes creating a deeply euphoric ride. The title track ’Let It Go' is up next and is by far the most 'cheeky' tune of the EP with a twisted acid line swirling around the constant begging of Lens’ voice encouraging you to "Let It Go, Let It Out". Rounding out the EP is 'The Finest Hour' and Lens wraps up her debut with the most psychedelic cut of the package. Low rumbling bass tones and spaced out pads over sparse drums leave lots of room for the imagination providing each listener to create their own journey to navigate. If this is Amelie Lens' debut with us, we expect a lot of very big things to come from the young Belgian and so should you. Welcome Amelie Lens!

Cofondateur de Tétraèdre Records en janvier dernier, jeune label très actif qui compte déjà plusieurs sorties, The Aurem est aussi membre du collectif UBT qui évolue sur Angers.

La musique occupe depuis longtemps une place importante pour lui ;  il apprend le solfège, joue du trombone, avant de se pencher attentivement sur la musique électronique. Cette évolution traduit ses inspirations diverses, qu’il puise un peu partout, autant dans les bandes originales de films que dans des sources moins attendues et surprenantes, comme la musique emprunte de spiritualité qui résonne dans les églises. Cette recherche d’une réelle musicalité et cette attention du détail rejaillissent largement dans ses productions, très souvent travaillées de mélodies aériennes et éthérées.

Remember The Time We Used To Love Each Other s’ouvre ainsi sur des sonorités indus aux accents bruitistes, et évolue vers une composition riche et très dynamique. La profondeur des kicks s’accompagne d’un jeu harmonique hypnotique, presque lunaire, qui enveloppe l’ensemble de couleurs froides, conférant une réelle profondeur à ce morceau qui reste emprunt d’une mélancolie certaine.

Le morceau sortira sur Ecstasy State, un jeune label londonien, et sera disponible sur toutes les plateformes le 16 Août prochain.

DLV is the driving force behind Acid Techno Techno Club and now self-releases three of his powerful dance floor weapons.  

Acid Techno Techno Club is an organization run by DLV that meets to discuss, show, and promote acid techno in a local community setting and it has given the Austrian artist and party promoter a cult following both locally and internationally. His hard hitting, no frills and direct sound is pure fire on the dance floor and can be heard on his remixes for KAS:ST and Hadone, in addition to his pounding sets at his parties. 

'Rave instructor' has lasers fired out of a gun shooting across a flat footed kick drum that prowls you forwards. Vocal stabs add fuel to the fire and eventually a frazzled synth breaks free to get hands in the air. The excellent ‘Space Machine' is another futurist techno banger, with twisted acid lines weaving in and out of the hammering drums while bright synth patterns light up the skies. Last but not least, 'Transmission' brings darker energies with its stomping kicks, industrial textures and old school breakbeat flourishes all making for a hugely physical and immediate impact.  

DLV ‘Rave Instructor’ is out on 24th July 2020.
