PREMIERE: Mr. Bizz - Wait In The Galaxy [Jannowitz Records]

Gizmo & Mac debut on Mirror Records with their newest EP "Arkanum". The four-track Melodic House & Techno EP features heavy bumping basslines, stirring melodies and driving drums. The first track "Arkanum" already starts of with a massive bassline and builds up into a true peak time banger that will make sure to get any dancefloor moving. The remix by Heerhorst takes it even a step further, adding driving drums to create a seemingly never-ending rave bliss. The flipside of the EP features "Zeitgeist", this tracks delivers a more melodic approach without ever neglecting the dancefloor suitability. With the last track on the record Monsieur Pluspetit returns to Mirror Records with his remix of "Zeitgeist". He’s focusing on the melodic parts of the original, emphasizing the vocal bits and giving it his very own touch. Overall the EP is a masterful first appearance from Gizmo & Mac, make sure you grab it!

PREMIERE: Gizmo & Mac - Zeitgeist [Mirror Records]

One of the many benefits to Senso Sound’s prolific release schedule is the exposure it allows to new artists alongside the more established names in the scene. Here, Lars Kohl, aka BOHO, drops his first EP for Oliver Huntemann’s label, following on from a handful of releases on his own Jannowitz Records imprint. The Ungeduld EP (‘impatience’ in English) showcases the Cologne based DJ and producer’s talent for no nonsense dancefloor primed techno. Skip The Line kicks off with an urgent groove welded to a gnarly, growling bass synth. Other ravey hits and blips punctuate the track giving it a hardcore edge that yearns for for sweaty clubs. Title track Ungeduld has a similar restless energy, but the groove is a slick, pared-down beast that underpins more unruly synth blasts. Last up is Mint, a slightly deeper groove that exudes a euphoric malevolence through tightly controlled tension and its eventual release.
