Alex Stein zählt zu den heißtesten Exportschlagern aus Brasilien. Über die Jahre hat er seinen eigenen musikalischen Stil geformt und geprägt, der schnell eine Welle der Begeisterung hervorgerufen hat. Sein Sound ist dabei kompromisslos, sehr dancefloororientiert und reist einen sofort mit. Über die Jahre erschienen seine zahlreichen Tracks auf Toplabels wie Tronic, Sincopat, Filth On Acid oder Monika Kruses Terminal M, zu der er eine sehr gute Beziehung pflegt. Vergangene Woche wurde sein neuer Remix für Hi-Lo auf Octopus Records releast, der aktuell nur darauf wartet, in einem Club gespielt zu werden und in voller Lautstärke seine ganzen Intensität zu entfalten.

Next up on Kuukou is a galvanised slice from Kamara. Across previous releases on labels such as Tronic Music, Sudbeat and Proton - the Dutch duo have delivered their kinetic, free-flowing expressions of Techno and their 'Awake State Of Mind' recalls this trope to enchanting effect.
The title track kicks off with a throbbing sub that acts as a ballast for distant, reverberated signals and swirling synth lines that bloom as the track progresses.
'Majestic' then follows up with a beautifully mechanical track that pushes with the power of a locomotive. Grainy synths shutter like the frames of sepia film while more rich melodies colour the track's core. All the while, rough and rugged drums keep things sufficiently punchy for peak time dance floors.

When "Sunshine" was doing the rounds back in the day, everyone and their mother was on it, and rightly so.Naturally it was up to 1605 to bring the anthem of anthems to the spotlight once again and hit everyone where it hurts, with five completely different renditions.Umek sets the record straight with a monstrous interpretation, ready to stand the test of times to come. The journey continues with D. Ramirez and his bouncing version, while Uto Karem goes the subliminal route.
