Born and raised in Kolkata, India, ĀTMĀN moved to Berlin to explore new creative possibilities and soon found his passion for DJing. Though his love for mixing music was ignited during his undergrad days—when he used to make mixtapes for dance lessons—it never fully materialized until recently. Now, despite being new to the scene, he is rapidly making waves in Berlin’s club scene. He co-founded Pikante Kollektiv with some of his close friends from his Berlin family, building a community that celebrates high-energy, hot & spicy electronic music.

Deeply inspired by artists like Charlotte de Witte, Indira Paganotto, Boston168, Maddix, AIROD, ÅMRTÜM, Marlon Hoffstadt and Funk Tribu for their distinguishable music, ĀTMĀN crafts sets that merge hypnotic and acid techno elements with euphoric trance energy and deep-rooted Indian vocal influences.

ĀTMĀN is interested in making evocative and pulsating mixes by pushing the boundaries of conventional genre mix. 

Born and raised in Kolkata, India he moved to Berlin to explore new possibilities and since then picked up passion for DJing, drawing inspiration from his childhood days when he used to make mixtapes for dance lessons. Quickly making ripples in the Berlin club scene, he is currently a resident of pikante kollektiv.

Starting his journey from melodic techno he has since then ventured into acid, hard trance, bounce and hard groove, making sure that his sets impart high paced rhythm and powerful basslines on the dance floor. His sets are a unique blend of techno elements, trance and deep-rooted influences from Indian vocals driving beats that pulse with raw emotion and movement.

ĀTMĀN is a word derived from old Sanskrit text which means “soul”, exactly what he yearns to invoke when it comes to his style of music.
