A deep magic lures and allures in ‘El Valle De Kadisha’… An ancient Lebanese valley, it’s one of the oldest natural heritage sites in the world. The Aramaeans translate Kadisha to sacred. The ancient Rumaki tribe harnessed a creative force there that they believe came from the cosmos.

The history, mythology, spiritual energy and explainable tales of Kadisha have all inspired and moved millions over the centuries. Argentinian-in-Spain Bodaishin is the latest to embrace its beguiling energy with his debut album on Do Not Sit On The Furniture.

Eight tracks deep: ‘El Valle De Kadisha’ is a celebration of the valley’s most enchanting tales. Capturing the movements of the Rumaki; the paintings they’d decorate the cave with, the voices they’d hear deep within it and the famous tribe of women who pointed the Rumaki directly through the fire and into a deep state of a timelessness, spiritual enlightenment and, eventually, rebirth.

Deep, meditative, unhurried and woven with many musical layers, Bodaishin captures the magic of this unique place in space and time with a sound that complements Do Not Sit On The Furniture’s spirit perfectly. Some sacred stories will never grow old.

Superfett Records strides into the new year with another red hot and party starting new EP, this one from Italian artist FEX (IT).

FEX (IT) is a totally new project in the deep, tech and house realm born thanks to the support of Supernova's Label LAPSUS MUSIC. It’s his second release on Superfett, whilst he also has other releases on stand out labels like Snatch! and Flashmob too on his resume. He also already has some Top 10 tunes on Beatport as well as playing all over Europe in normal times. Now he impresses again here.

Believe is a big hearted house track with diva vocals and stunning horn leads. It will get you up on your toes and bouncing and is filled with soulfulness and real house energy. Fleur then goes deep with a shuffling drum line, airy hits and lush piano chords that are superbly colorful and filled with character.

This is real house music from a real standout artist.

Hot Creations continues its 2021 release schedule this February with a four-track EP from Josh Hvaal. Getting Better sees the UK talent return to the label, fresh from releasing his maiden EP, The Sound, on the imprint in March last year.

Josh discussed how the release reflects his style, stating that: “The EP gives you a very rounded view of my sound. I’m really excited to be back releasing music on Hot Creations, the label really feels like my home and I couldn’t be happier!”

Basic leads the charge and takes no prisoners as it goes, pairing rapid kick-hat combos against layered vocal tones to create Josh’s signature late-night sound. Getting Better comes next, blending a retro acid vibe with an up-tempo lead bassline before the near six-minute Oi takes the form of a heavyweight techno number. Tiptoe brings things to an emotive close, showcasing Josh’s eclectic style with drawn-out chords and percussion-laden breaks.

Josh Hvaal has become a household name in the contemporary house sphere in recent times. It was in March that the young UK-native achieved a remarkable feat: releasing his debut EP on Hot Creations. Such an achievement didn’t go unnoticed, with industry heavyweights soon playing his music in the form of Joseph Capriati, Andrea Oliva and many more. Releases have since followed on Yousef’s Circus Recordings, Malgado’s Distortion and Hot Creations’ offshoot Hottrax, standing him in good stead for another successful year in 2021.
