Hoito label-head Sascha Braemer makes a welcome return to Marc Romboy’s Systematic this July with the Who Died And Made You King EP. The three-track release includes a remix by former Agents Of Time member, Fedele.

The title track opens proceedings, pairing emotive key changes against Dom Fricot’s poignant vocal tones. It’s a haunting number that leaves us in a state of starry-eyed reflection before Fedele’s Revenge Mix takes on a harder edge. A weighty bassline contrasts Dom’s soothing lyrical contributions, as hard-hitting percussion marches on in the background. Mars 96 completes the EP, featuring ethereal synth pulses, warming pads and whispering hats throughout.

Sascha Braemer has become a familiar figure in the global house scene in a career that spans decades. As label-head of Hoito, the German-native native has welcomed the likes of BOg, Aaaron and Echonomist in recent times. 2021 looks set to be a highlight year for the Systematic-regular, with an array of releases already soon to land on Anjunadeep and Deutsche Grammophon to name a few.

Hailing from the coastal city of Bari, Italy, Fedele Ladisa AKA Fedele is a leading figure in contemporary dance music. A founding member of the acclaimed DJ and production trio Agents Of Time, Fedele’s solo career has seen him release on several of techno’s most-esteemed labels, including Maceo Plex’s Ellum and Tiga’s Turbo Recordings to name a few.

Spartaque & ODYSSAY link up to great effect on a big new single for CODEX that will blow any dance floor part.

The thumping My Religion is a hard hitting and heavy melodic techno track with immovable drums. The wall-rattling percussion, thunderous claps and scintillating synths all add up to a tense and alluring groove, and the beautiful vocals from ODYSSAY really reach out to the listener and give it that extra edge.

We are proud to announce that renowned Danish DJ & Producer, Noir, is joining the family with the release of ‘Messiah’, a phenomenal 2 track EP featuring J.U.D.G.E.

Melancholy underground dance music at its best, the EP consists of ‘Keep Up’ and ‘Messiah’ both vocalled by upcoming UK artist J.U.D.G.E. who has previously graced cuts by Eagles & Butterflies, Santé and Tube & Berger to great acclaim. 

“Me and J.U.D.G.E. found great chemistry on this release and the 2 tracks were completely different experiences working on as one started by a vocal idea from J.U.D.G.E. and the other started with an instrumental from myself" says Noir of the collaboration. 

Both tracks are brilliant in their own right, with ‘Keep Up’ hitting just a bit more gently and elegantly than the title track, who’s heavier percussion and bassline deliver a more substantial punch.

As we welcome another talented artist to our family we asked Viken about the first part of a two part release and he told us...

"it's really important to understand that this EP is a series of pictures telling a story. Combining the names of all the tracks one gets this interesting and dreamy sentence,'On A Blue Road - A White Shadow - Feels The Winter'.To translate these pictures into music, I needed a very particular sound. Since I am a huge fan of Jazz music I took one of my favorite records, used a lot of samples and reworked them in my own way. From the technical aspect, I decided to reconnect with my first love: analog machines. I love working with sound textures. I stayed away from my laptop and all my VST/Plugins as I felt the need to compose these tracks in an unusual way: I wanted the sound to be really pure. That's the reason why this process was so essential for me. For me, this EP is the first one to sound like this".

This is the first of two releases from a deeply talented soul. A patient collage of house, jazz, acid squiggles and deep emotion. Played and loved all summer long by Lee Burridge at All Day I Dream, these tracks will stay with you through winter and into next summer.
