'Hailing from Talavera de la Reina, electronic music producer and DJ Miguel Lobo has spent his career crafting an inimitable sound packed full of percussive grooves. A purveyor of house music, he brings his multitude of influences together in his debut album ‘Moving Faces’ on Yousef’s seminal imprint ‘Circus Recordings’ with first EP ‘Stay Awake / Another Day’. 

Releasing music since 2009, Circus Recordings is one of the worlds most respected and consistent imprints, bringing together global icons of electronic music alongside new and emerging names. Marking a notable moment for the imprint, ‘Moving Faces’ LP will be the first album project released on Circus Recordings by an artist other than label head, Yousef. Miguel joins a list of top tier producers such as Carl Cox, Sven Väth, Marco Carola, Scuba, Green Velvet, and Steve Lawler who have also released on the imprint.

Making waves through the underground scene as an international touring DJ, the last few years have seen Miguel Lobo releasing on a number of respected and established labels including 8Bit, Defected and Knee Deep In Sound. Affirming his abilities as a producer, Miguel has seen strong support from DJs across the board from Hot Since 82, Marco Carola, Nick Curly, Nicole Moudaber, and Oxia. 

Not one to follow trends or conform to genre barriers, Miguel Lobo has created his own original style and sound. His investigative musical ideology sees him bring together many influences across ‘Moving Faces’ LP. 

“In the album I wanted to capture the different styles and moods with which I identify, sometimes experimental sometimes dark and moody and sometimes focused on the club. This is why I chose the name ‘Moving Faces’ for the LP as I share my multiple faces with the listener.” Miguel Lobo

Releasing first album EP ‘Stay Awake/Another Day’ kick starts the album journey. ‘Stay Awake’ conjures the nostalgia of watching DJ heroes play until the small hours of the morning, via moody basslines and infectious grooves blended with the smooth vocals of Rion S. Meanwhile, ‘Another Day’ presents Miguel’s melodic side with a euphoric mix, stitched together by the oozing groove that underpins the wider ‘Moving Face’ LP project.  

Made entirely with the self-taught production techniques of Miguel, ‘Stay Awake/Another Day’ EP provides a sure taster of what’s to come on the forthcoming LP; set to land as a multi-purpose project ‘Moving Faces’ feels fit for clubs, festivals or even the comfort of ones living room. '

Born in Soﬁa at the mist of the end of the socialism in Bulgaria, Pavel Petrov was exposed in environment where all the western culture was just about to blow away the capital and change his perception for music hence. Coming out from the mayhem environment of the early post-communist Bulgaria, the vibrant and molding scene got him regarded not only a music selector in front of his peers but internationally respected DJ and producer. With his musical background his talent got no horizon when it comes to genres and styles.

Absorbing all inﬂuences, his productions quickly started to imprint his music cosmos. Consequently, he joins the ranks of some of the most demanded labels with his own work and remixes in the likes of Exploited, Glasgow Underground, Suara, Lapsus Music. The larger part of his productions ranked among the Beatport charts for tech and deep house. His music is regularly selected to get by trendsetters like Pan-Pot, Carl Cox, Hot Since 82, Maya Jane Coles, Claptone, M.A.N.D.Y., Joris Voorn, John Degweed and many many more.
Being driven and consistent brought 2018 as the most successful year for him yet. His own curated events “EXE” has complete a rewarding transformation into the newest electronic music club in Soﬁa, where he resides and share decks with some of the most regarded electronic music acts. 
Pavel Petrov is steadily continuing his ascent into the upper echelons of the wider electronic music scene and ground himself as one of the Europe’s leading young artists capable of setting any crowd on ﬁre at any time.

Shermanology brings the groove on a very soulful two track EP as the latest installment on Solardo’s Sola imprint.

The EP kicks off with Pop That, an unmistakably sultry house track which is defined by the classic funky bass line we’ve come to associate with Shermanology. The track continues to build with dynamic percussion alongside a very evocative vocal overlay. Next up on the EP is the much darker Ride It, with a powerful thumping bass and reverberating synths creating a warehouse ready vibe, the track is complemented by a soaring vocal which builds to an immense breakdown. On the flip, label heads Solardo provide a mammoth remix which adds their signature stamp.

Riding into the spotlight on a wave of early crossover house records, alongside the likes of Avicii (as Tim Berling for ‘Blessed’) showcased Shermanology’s infectious songsmanship amid a peak in European electronic music and its global passport. Come 2019, there was a new vision for Shermanology and their soulfully charged stand on the electronic market. With their hit song Move Out Of My Way, together with Dennis Quinn, they entered a new chapter of their career in 2019. Following up in 2020, their Bon Bini EP on Hot Creations received widespread support, including radio coverage from the likes of Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Danny Howard and many more. Their Soldier March EP on Tech House label Rawthentic also received crazy support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Roger Sanchez, MK and topped the Beatport Tech House Chart. The new Shermanology sound is unstoppable and growing faster than ever with an array of fresh label partnerships, exciting collaborative ventures and most importantly, an arsenal of infectious tunes, 2020 promises to be a year of formal reckoning for Shermanology.

Superlux Records continues its release schedule this November with a debut EP from Taymor Zadeh. The four-track ​Life Goes On EP includes three originals from the UK-based artist, as well as a special remix from One Records co-founder, Subb-an.

Speaking on the production process behind the EP, Taymor describes how “​Life Goes On was made using ​a tb303, roland mc505, a 909 which I borrowed from a good friend, some vocal samples from old tape recordings and a load of imagination.”

The A Side gets underway with ​Bubbleworks​, and Taymor’s “imagination” is plain to see. It’s a no-nonsense club-ready cut, with thick hats and an up-tempo lead bassline residing next to an array of bubble-sounding pops throughout. That same late-night feel continues into ​Life Goes On​, as eerie vocals flitter between pulses of acid and punchy, whip-like drums. On the B Side, ​Gekula takes the lead. Fast-paced with clear minimal influences, we’re graced with eight minutes of dancefloor-geared delight as distorted voices reside atop a driving kick-hat backbone, before Subb-an’s remix continues in the same vein, taking us deep into 5 AM territory with glitchy synths and plenty of dark, low-slung percussion.

With an ethos of quality over quantity at his core, Taymor Zadeh ​has carved out a bespoke sound within the electronic music sphere. In recent times his releases have been welcomed by Stephane Genacia’s Highpath Records as well as Luca C’s See Double imprint, a testament to his keen ear for production. Berlin-based ​Subb-an is a leading figure in the UK minimal scene. As co-founder of One Records, 2020 has seen the label celebrate ten years of releases with a two-part vinyl sampler, including tracks from the likes of Anna Wall, Matthew Johnson and more besides.
