@kr3_records round out their fifth anniversary with a split extended player from Jin Synth and Marco Maldarella. Dubbed 'The Neural Abyss', the release "invites listeners on a profound exploration of hypnotic, deep brainwave states".

Bologna-based Marco Maldarella's contribution "Sulcus" is the focus of today's premiere. Where previous releases highlight lush, atmospheric techno infused with acid flourishes, "Sulcus" expands on the sounds Maldarella explored on their 2024 release with Dutch imprint Omen Wapta, 'Clinamen'.

2.5 Hour set I played at some rave last weekend. 

It was magical. Such beautiful people; giving it their absolute all dancing holes into the decayed rugged carpet of an old derelict building until way beyond the dawn of day. 

Thanks all for dancing with me well into the morning glory. You were fantastic!

I hope this recording catches some of the shine of this amazing night and I hope to see you all soon dancing the night away, either in clubs or on the down and out; being happy and forgetting for a brief moment about the total lack of understanding and absolute disregard for the way of life we hold dear.

The 18th edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of one of the long-standing greats of the underground Techno world; Ritzi Lee (MORD, 47, Underground Liberation).

Ritzi has been playing and creating Techno for over 22 years. Hailing from Amsterdam, where he cemented his reputable status in the underground scene as a DJ, he began producing and releasing his quality brand of Techno and eventually launched his own label Underground Liberation, which kick-started his journey internationally. He was omnipresent throughout the 00's, playing the largest festivals, performing at Awakenings, doing club gigs, supporting DJ's like Jeff Mills and Ben Sims, playing ADE on Dave Clarke’s night, gaining fans everywhere and a solid reputation which he has kept until today.

Ritzi is an artist who is not afraid to go back to the source, getting inspiration from Detroit to Tresor, while always renewing and fine-tuning his music. As well as via his own label, his renowned productions have led to consistent releases on some of the most respected labels across the globe including MORD, 47 and Ben Sims' Theory Recordings.

It is a massive honour to have Ritzi on our DECENNIUM series. We hope you enjoy his ferocious mix which delves into the old as well as the new, and was recorded exclusively for Natural Selection.

Sarf is the Analog Section label boss whose hypnotic and mesmerising Spanish sound is one that has seen his music released on Joton's Newrhythmic, Soolee's More Than Less, and Concerns Music, while he regularly can be found collaborating with Kalter Ende on their 232 Reach project. His mix is a perfect storm of enlightening atmospherics and spacey, pulsing, modular textures for the mind. Including plenty of intensity for some well-worked crescendo moments, it's nothing short of fascinating in its entirety.
