On July 15, 2022, Anetha will release her second seismic
compilation on her label Mama told ya entitled MTY-TERRE
«Contre tout, toutes et tous, la terre demeure», just one year
after MTY-EAU «L’eau repousse les feux agressifs».

Through earth element, the compilation comes up with the
collaboration of 19 artists - 19 tracks, divided into 4 vinyls: Ane-
tha has brought together a generation of young electronic
music artists from around the world to get their hands dirty
and produce some solid gems.

TM8 Q: Favourite club and why?
A: "I struggle to find the time for making music and going out as much as I used to, so these days I prefer to save my energy for special nights. However, if I had to choose, I would go for Säule (Berghain) due to its intimate size, carefully curated line-ups and atmosphere at Thursday events, and RSO for the sound system and wide variety of parties."

Polish DJ and producer Agata shares a luminous mix to ease us into the week. Layered with trance-infused techno, psy and tek, the Berlin-based artist blends dreamy melodies, sturdy drums, rippling basslines and spacious sound design into one sleek package. Since her first EP, "Realign", which she self-released last year, Agata has contributed her enchanting tracks to labels like @deestricted, @nobordersmusic, @mmuussaa and our own label, tm8.club, where she delivered the club-cut track "Drip". Affiliated with Berlin-based @blvsh_collective, which supports *FLINTA artists in the local scene, you can find Agata playing at M01 on 13.04 for the BLVSH x EVOLVE showcase.

Composer, producer, and DJ dragongirl has recorded a mix for us featuring some of her own tracks too. Having released her critically acclaimed debut album 'hot blue' on the Norwegian label Sheep Chase Records in 2023, dragongirl has since brought her vibrant sound to some of Northern Europe's most well-known clubs and festivals including Denmark's Den Anden Side, Berlin's OST and OXI, and Kaleido Festival. Her sets blend trance, techno and happy hardcore with influences from Eurodance, gabber and EDM, inviting her audience on a playful and unexpected adventure. And that's exactly what dragongirl mirrors in this week's mix.

Uruguayan DJ and producer YOZY supplies a shape-shifting mix for us, oscillating between experimental and broken rhythms to 4/4 techno and irresistible trance classics. The Barcelona-based artist also includes tracks from her upcoming album, dropping June 5th. Having released several contributions to VAs on Clan Destine Records, low income $quad, and Last Love Records, they have also delivered music to Human Club; a label based in Barcelona's Razzmatazz, where they are a resident DJ and run their own party CALIENTE. Additionally, YOZY has played for parties and festivals like Boiler Room x Primavera Sound, Raiders, Suicide Club, Voight-Kampff, Latineo, and many more. Plus, their monthly radio show on HKCR called 'Messages from the stars' has recently transformed into an IRL ambient showcase.

A: “Our dream B3B, it’s actually really easy to say, it also might seem silly with a sea of incredible artists to pick from. Especially all the producers here whose tracks we deeply connect with. However when It comes to it, we would have to choose our dear friend and chosen family member @0ccyx. We are a trio in our own way, always looking at the sound system, talking about our favourite artists and productions. We do what we love with each other which is: dance, scheme, run parties and continuously push each other to find the next most otherworldly track which we’ll not stop talking about for weeks. We’re our own little family, us three against the world.”

Bristol-based duo Field Case share a winding mix for us, snaking through slow-burning rhythms, meditative beats, and mystical soundscapes, exploring the deepest and most cerebral shades of techno. DJs Petrachore and Ohana are behind Field Case and began the project after meeting by chance in early 2023. They then formed Bristol’s first-ever queer community radio station, Transgression.fm, to showcase artists in the city’s creative realm. These days, Field Case are residents of Bristol events RTN and Queerky, where they continue to meld their differing musical backgrounds and sonic palettes. Their journey together has defined their sound, character and mystery, and we’re delighted to share a taster of that on this week’s mix.
