A: "If I could erase a genre, it would either be techno-trance pop-edits or neo-rave. I really don't like both of them and generally I'm not a big fan of that tiktok-techno stuff that got so big over the recent years."

Berlin-based, German-born artist Josephine Voigt delivers our first podcast of 2024. As a resident DJ for local collectives @hraberlin, @cumulonimbus-berlin and the Leipzig-based @exilkollektiv, Josephine has emerged as a DJ to watch in recent years. She never lingers long on any one sound and fuses several sub-genres into her sets, evoking visceral feels in clubs like OXI, Suicide Club, ://about blank and beyond. Right now, Josephine is into minimalistic, hypnotic soundscapes punctuated by percussive-organic rhythms and psy textures, as displayed in her TM8 mix. Expect a tense and moody journey into the murkier ends of electronic music.
