Having recently joined forced with Animal Farm, Rosie has been making some noise with her recent releases on the mighty Soma Records. With releases on Soma Records and a residency at the world renowned Sub Club, AISHA has cemented herself at the forefront of the Scotland’s dense underground techno scene, while establishing herself as one to watch with her heavyweight productions and energy soaked sets.

AISHA’s sound spans from hard trance to raw, pumping techno, and her sets are as versatile as they are incendiary, leading her to play for the likes of Teletech and Possession. 

She has released on labels such as Taapion, Soma and Maison Close to name a few, as well as winning Best Electronic at 2021’s Scottish Alternative Music Awards. Her latest ‘Helfy Rapid EP’, a collab with fellow Scot Franck, garnered huge success and was a hit on dancefloors across the globe.

With an already burgeoning gig diary and upcoming releases on some of Europe’s finest record labels, she is poised to take on the world’s dancefloors. 

When AISHA is playing, prepare to sweat.

This mix is a live recording taken from RSO Berlin on Friday 27th January 3am-5am, for club night Fyema. Listening you’ll find a mix of trance, techno, groovy and bouncy beats with melodies singing throughout the set.

Berlin-based artist Softmatter shares a dynamic mix for us this week. Anna Pavlova, aka Softmatter, is a DJ, producer, multidisciplinary artist and vocalist whose output is characterised by twisted and distorted electronics, heavy-hitting drumwork and mutant vocal samples. With a keen interest in post-human theory, neuroscience and quantum physics; her musical practice explores the fluidity and uncertainty of experience and perception. In Anna’s own words, “When I begin the creative process without expectations and embracing uncertainty, I get results that represent me the most.”

A: "Furby - they are soft, brightly coloured, gender fluid and nostalgic. They also look great with sunglasses and are very stylish. Within each Furby I have, is a little piece of myself."

UK-born, Amsterdam-based writer and DJ LNR has recorded a FLINTA-focused mix for us. Inspired by the collective dialogue between her journalistic research surrounding dance music history and her obsession with collecting old-school vinyl, the multi-disciplined artist translates pen to wax by creating journeys centred around fluid iterations of sound system culture. Exploring refractions of music in the hardcore and psychedelic spectrums and integrating technological rawness with dissociative coils, LNR has played alongside 90s legends like 69db from Spiral Tribe, Eat Static, Felix K, μ-Ziq, and Scion, and has DJ'd in Amsterdam's Garage 
Noord and for Belgium's free party collective, V23. 

In this mix, however, LNR has ditched her usual vinyl-only format to highlight a talented array of FLINTA artists, including music from the feminist freetekno collective Witchcraft rec, and producers Nkisi, Azu Tiwaline, Saskia, DJ Sofa, c00, gi, Laura STZ, Freeman 713, Kan10, DJ Spice, and Liza N Eliaz. The latter was the earliest trans woman in hardcore, according to LNR's research. "She co-produced the first ever Bonzai record before Jones & Stephenson's 'The First Rebirth' came out and made the label go crazy," LNR told us. "Sadly she died in 2001 but it felt important to me to include her music in this mix. Shout out to other old-school female techno, hardcore, and jungle legends who didn't make the mix this time: Ixindamix, Laura Grabb, Miss Djax, Kemistry & Storm, and DJ Rap."

Composer, producer, and DJ dragongirl has recorded a mix for us featuring some of her own tracks too. Having released her critically acclaimed debut album 'hot blue' on the Norwegian label Sheep Chase Records in 2023, dragongirl has since brought her vibrant sound to some of Northern Europe's most well-known clubs and festivals including Denmark's Den Anden Side, Berlin's OST and OXI, and Kaleido Festival. Her sets blend trance, techno and happy hardcore with influences from Eurodance, gabber and EDM, inviting her audience on a playful and unexpected adventure. And that's exactly what dragongirl mirrors in this week's mix.

Uruguayan DJ and producer YOZY supplies a shape-shifting mix for us, oscillating between experimental and broken rhythms to 4/4 techno and irresistible trance classics. The Barcelona-based artist also includes tracks from her upcoming album, dropping June 5th. Having released several contributions to VAs on Clan Destine Records, low income $quad, and Last Love Records, they have also delivered music to Human Club; a label based in Barcelona's Razzmatazz, where they are a resident DJ and run their own party CALIENTE. Additionally, YOZY has played for parties and festivals like Boiler Room x Primavera Sound, Raiders, Suicide Club, Voight-Kampff, Latineo, and many more. Plus, their monthly radio show on HKCR called 'Messages from the stars' has recently transformed into an IRL ambient showcase.

Chilean DJ and artist puxo shares a mix of deconstructed and club-ready sounds with us this week. The Barcelona-based talent leans into Latin rhythms, choppy percussion, and emotional textures across their sets, creating a mood that blurs the lines between rhythmic intensity and sonic experimentation. Having established their profile within the Barcelona scene by playing parties like Latineo, MUSA, Deprerreo, and No Tags, puxo has since released an ambient EP as a parallel exploration to their artistic output, revealing a more introspective side of their sound.

For our 67th podcast we’ve invited the Copenhagen-based DJ & producer, Vixen. As a member of the infamous Fast Forward Productions, Vixen already made quite a name for herself in the recent years. Straightforward techno, combined with some trance and acid here and there, categorizes her sound.
