Maks @maksoner-1   /Czene Dániel - from Budapest, Hungary / has been selecting and collecting vinyls since the end of 1990's and has been spinning since the age of 15 at live radio broadcasts and underground events as well. He is in the music production since 2004 with his own tracks. His wide music spectrum is from minimal to maximal, from clear to distorted from raw to complex soundings; involving ambient, dub, experimental, industrial, minimal, acid, detroit, chicago, kalamazoo, berlin, techno, house, and electro. Being devoted to music he is the co-founder, selector and promoter of Panel Trax Records, Fraktal Sound Organization, Óvantag Tapintat.

He is a part of the Manevarim collective that he started alongside his younger brother and two friends, where they promote DJs via podcasts and organize events. Manevarim is set to transform into a label sometime in the future.

“Dumpster diving know-how” consists of six tracks that operate both on acid sequences and on fairy-tale-like synthesizers. But this fairy tale is eerie, full of sound waste and disastrous prophecies. There’s room for a tribal apocalypse (“War Drums For Children”), broken acid techno (“The Most Complex Thing” recorded together with Elena Sizowa, a Belarussian DJ and producer) and some spooky yet magical synth landscapes (“Take A Deep Breath & Dive Into The Bin”). What can be heard throughout the whole mini-album is the excellent sound that is not afraid of dirt, noise and “sound waste” that the title refers to.

Today we premiere Collision, the titletrack of the new release by Gateway X (https://soundcloud.com/gatewayx), which will be released by Monolith Records (https://soundcloud.com/monolith-records) on 28th December 2020 in mini CD and digital format. 

Collision is a gateway opening towards a different dimension evoking certain sci-fi movies and cyberpunk literature with its cold and distant sounds. It's a song dominated by a rhythm both recalling rhythmic noise music and the hardcore/punk and noise roots of these musicians, as the repetition of the rhythm and the rough sounds recall the DIY attitude and the sound of punk music, and as noise is an important element of their sound.
