Second in our Break 3000 revisited classics series are three songs from the period 2001-2002. The opener "Sacrifice" was featured on the great DJ-Kicks compilation by Tiga in 2002, a real breakthrough year for Electro Clash! The second track here is from the same period but was never released, we carefully recovered it from the DAT tapes for you. The finale is "Spacemaschinenreise", this one was on the first vinyl release on the Maastricht label Meuse Muzique and rounds of this second archive edition in a fine and spacey way. 

All tracks have been carefully recovered from the vaults and remastered at Salz Mastering in Cologne.

Lola Interpretations is a remixes collection of the latest acoustic work released by Intersezioni, Lola Percussion.

Seven artists from the Italian techno / tribal / downtempo scene have been involved, using samples obtained from the original Lola's recordings.

The result is a free recompositions compilation of the original edits, characterised by a strong connection between acoustic and electronic sounds and thought to be perfect even for the dance floor.

PREMIERE⚡️A-Tweed - Interpretation 2 [INTERSEZIONI]

Parisian artist La Mverte (@la-mverte) inaugurates his new label Les Enfers with an EP of typically leftfield electro and new beat fusions. His three originals come with big remixes from Javi Redondo and Anatolian Weapons (@anatolianweapons).

La Mverte aka Alexander Berly has carved out a unique sonic niche since 2014. He attended the RBMA in Tokyo, has released on labels like Her Majesty's Ship, and explores everything from Italo to New Wave, industrial to dark disco, krautrock to synth-heavy acid. His singular sounds have taken him to gigs at the world's best clubs and festivals and now, after a reflective time during the pandemic, he is back with a new label.

Excellent EP opener 'Nigredo' features Jean-Christophe Couderc from Vox Low providing sleazy vocals. It suggests a love of Detroit electro but reimagined through La Mverte's influences and machines, with angular drums and prickly synths lighting up the dance floor. With 'Albedo,' La Mverte offers an intense synth-wave sound with dark and ghoulish vocals, raw drums and stark hits that demand you jerk your body. The final original 'Rubedo' nods to Belgium's New Beat movement. It has physical drums, soot-black synth work and edgy late-night energy that will blow minds in any warehouse space.
First remixer Javi Redondo is a regular on the Correspondant and Dischi Autunno labels. He offers a club-focused and motorik re-reading of 'Nigredo' designed to make you sweat. Greek EBM, rock and electronic fusionist Aggelos Baltas aka Anatolian Weapons also offers a brilliant version of 'Albedo.' It is tinged with slowed-down trance of the sort that Vladimir Ivkovic might drop in the dead of night at Salon des Amateurs.

With Alchemy Calls, La Mverte continues to push himself and his sounds forwards into fresh new territory.

Duro is honored to present the birth of the “Baba” brotherhood. During the last pandemic year, Rina traveled from Tel Aviv to Portugal, where he met Switchdance. After some trips around the beautiful city of Lisbon, plates and plates of hummus and samosa, a visit to pick up raspberries at a field that used to be a medicinal cannabis farm and lots of hours in Switchdance's studio, 'Baba Music Vol. 1' was alive.

The journey initiates with the Portuguese version of "Give Way", a cut that narrates the moment when you are in a high state of mind and try to describe the process to get back to reality. For this version the duo worked with vocalist Abrão, where a deep and resonant bass, a synthesized voice, electric and acid melodies, and distant pads run through the space. It’s followed by the Hebrew version of "Give Away" where Rina takes control of the vocals. 

"Reak" means "empty" in Hebrew, the cut refers to a state of consciousness where there is nothing in the brain. Playful percussion, acid basslines mixed with digitally distorted synthesizers create the sensation of breaking out reality, an experience blended with algorithms, binary codes and atomized sounds where it is hard to distinguish the realness. A roar to all the Babas around the world to gather on the dance floor. 

To consummate the brotherhood with an embellishment, master Jonathan Kusama came up with two versions of "Give Way". The first one is a futuristic and dystopian dub masterpiece, with distorted bass lines, shady vocals and liquid percussion. For the second version Kusama brings up the energy and keeps the bass flickering and harsh, mixed with mind-bending and unhinged synthesizers.

Gran canarian dj and producer David Hernandez aka Dunes, releases his second 'Escala de Grises' EP on his very own One Hour Less imprint. 'Gris Oscuro' represents those early hours of the night with a low bpm, a very marked bass and some dark pads. And the 'Gris Claro' make you imagine dawning with a track that it some point reminds a bit of the trance of the 90s with a twisted bass from the TB 303 that gives that acid air to the record.

The Cocada label's Leo Janeiro serves up his own new EP with remixes from fellow Brazilians Vini Pistori and Stanccione. Leo Janeiro is the influential Brazilian who runs things behind the scenes with Get Physical Music's Latin America-focussed sub-label. Arguably one of the most outstanding DJs to emerge from Brazil’s close-knit electronic music scene, his taste and technical ability made him a much loved Warung and D-Edge resident who has gone on to play around the world.
Our choice here was the first remix is from sophisticated Sao Paolo artist and indie dance innovator Vini Pistori, who has landed on Monaberry, Calypso Records and Connected. His energetic and effervescent version of the title track is a real doozy.

The musical restlessness of "Modernphase", always innovating under its multiple aliases and projects, is reflected in the Ep that we present here. Neanderthal and Ritual are two bizarre genius compositions that are born from collaborations with vocalists "Fher" and "PitlaneB" and that, by squeezing aggressive sounds,  manage to create a fun and danceable atmosphere.  In the remixes section, Technobeton masterfully plays with the elements  in Neanderthal to transform it into Club format, while Parissior leads Ritual to work with a pleasant sound in his remix.


@Modernphase owes his unique sound of the multi-talented person of Kali (Luis G.Vallespín): an Audio Engineer, Music Producer, Dj, Public Relations and blogger.

Kali is involved in several projects and bands, including Gameboyz (Relish, La belle, Clouded Vision, Biologic), Javato y Los Disfrutones, Sr Spam, etc. He is also co-owner of Spanish label "Melómana Records" and "Como las Grecas" Website.

His other duties include working as Public Relation for labels such as Discos Pato Carlos, United Colors Of Rhythm, Melomana, etc. He are involved as a Musical computing Teacher at Promusica (www.promusica.es) and as recording engineer at Promusica studios in Extremadura. He featured different radioshows on Pure Ibiza Radio (Techno Mode ON & Como las Grecas Radioshow) and now he is managing SC Profiles: Ibiza Sonica, DJMAG ES, Como Las Grecas and many more.
