DJ, Producer and Curator of Hidden, Deepak Sharma has been entrenched within techno for over a decade. Tough, raw and gritty describe the man, his music and label.
Perseverance is another word synonymous with Deepak Sharma: an unrelenting passion for music and sharing his sound through a belief so intense, his soul pours out and bears itself within each release and DJ set. Known for a cerebral approach to music, he demonstrates his ethos that DJing is about creating a moment, often through taking crowds on a hypnotic journey and building energy, with a room as one towards a higher peak. While DJing is his calling, his label also requires the utmost care through each carefully curated offering, slowly and steadily building a catalog greater than most accomplishing the rare feat of forty-three releases and counting.

Hidden is a well-established, forward thinking techno imprint based in NYC, curated by Deepak Sharma.

The label is dedicated to releasing vinyl that showcases the full spectrum of the techno continuum, from its earlier works with a distinct Detroit groove to its latest releases which are ready made for play in the darkest and grittiest of warehouses.

In recent years, JC Laurent and Deepak Sharma have taken center stage on the label, combining for 10 releases and accompanied by techno luminaries such as Tadeo, NX1, Developer, Oliver Deutschmann, Tom Dicicco, and Myles Serge. A trip through the label’s catalog showcases a deep connection with the soul of techno with appearances by Perc, Truncate, Mark Broom, Xhin, Kyle Geiger, Jerome Sydenham, Fred P, DJ Qu, John Tejada, Ambivalent, and Jonas Kopp among others. There are few places where this intersection of sounds and styles can coexist harmoniously. Hidden is one of these places.

For nearly two decades, Hidden has been a mainstay in record bags for all DJs, from locals to the stars of the underground.

TechnoTrippin' Podcast 088 mixed by Cassulle (PT).

Cassulle, alter-ego of David Falcão, is a Techno DJ and producer born in Angola but based in Portugal. It's through music that Cassulle finds his form of expression, in a century in which the feelings dissipate and only the exterior is touchable.

Cassulle was first created in 2017 with the dream of becoming a mark in the scene, and just like a caterpillar, he starved for evolution with his sound being prepared in his cocoon, where the surprise reigns and the final result will be unique and breathtakingly.
A musical metamorphosis is expected, bringing to his listeners an intriguing sound that breaks taboos, unleashes the feeling and shapes the mind of the one´s that feel.

In 2018, Cassulle makes his firsts steps into the scene releasing in labels such as Primitive State Records and Tech Deluxe Records. His first EP was called "Crisálida", who stands for Chrysalis. Cassulle, just as a caterpillar, search for his place and sound, starving for a different tone in his life, so he decides to change pace and start creating his sound in his coocon.

In 2020 he joins the Portuguese Label and Collective, KRAD Collective, with a group of talented and ambitious members. He then releases in other Portuguese labels as ELBEREC and Kepler´s Live.

Cassulle has some appearances in Portuguese clubs like Minnisterium, NB Club Viseu, Praxis Club. His ambitious can only be what he wants it to be than what the world tells him to be, not seeing past his own thoughts but toughing in becoming past his own self. The future of Cassulle can be only determinate by himself.

Crescent London is a new deep & hypnotic techno label centred on ambient textures and dub elements. For the label launch, the London-based collective put together a 13 track 'Various Artists' compilation of some of their favourite producers. Named "Magnetic Fields", the V/A is focusing on electric atmospheres and textures, locking the listener deep in the groove and the hypnosis. From drone and euphoric atmospheres to detailed broken-techno, the compilation displays a textured view on contemporary techno, elegant and mental, yet ready for the clubs to re-open.

[BIO]:
Seiichiro Itoyama is a producer from Japan, currently based in Berlin. Initially diving into electronic music production as a means of personal meditation, this has become the foundation of his process - a disciplined, uncompromising focus on inducing an utterly present and hypnotic state of mind through sound. All the above, as well as a strong desire to distinguish his sound has led him to consciously eschew using software / hardware / modular synths as primary sound sources. With a deep interest in film, he began to sample sounds from films. In November 2020, his album SUBSTRATA EP was released through the Polish label Unknown Timeline.

ABOUT US

TechnoTrippin' was established in the early 2014 in Barcelona to support the small techno scene that was emerging slowly but intensely.

In 2015 "Techno in the Forest", an underground festival on the outskirts of Barcelona, was born with the idea of creating strong links between artists, collectives, labels, dancers and everyone related to the underground scene in the city.
After 4 unforgettable editions, we decided we had accomplished our objective of uniting the scene and Techno in the Forest celebrated its last memorable gathering in 2018.

Since then, we have been operating only as a non-profit underground techno platform releasing podcasts & premieres from artists and labels around the globe.

In 2024, celebrating our 10th Anniversary, we launched our solidary techno label, focused on releasing music to help people who are in terryfing situations.

All the proceeds from all releases will go to different NGOs like Save The Children, UNRWA and Open Arms.*

We plan to put on another TechnoTrippin' in the Forest (V). We feel it's time again, after the pandemic, to support and unite the local techno scene by providing an unrivalled quality sound system, a place surrounded by nature, and an atmosphere that reflects the fact that we are not in it for the money. We put our heart and soul into it, simply because we can, and for us, techno is a way of life.
