Duncan MacDonald's next creation ignites the upcoming solo EPs series on the release schedule of LowEnd. The Apples EP has compositions that span from the recent isolation era until now, and we, in turn, are happy to host the premiere of its B2 track. Its title might seem strange at first, but it refers to the coordinates of an important geographical location. Production-wise, it is mainly based on previously untried practices and has an easily perceivable aim. This bold mixture of tense, tight-grip techno can drive us deliberately into motion, as it employs fast-paced, redemptive percussion and crunchy cuts. Something that is, also, found throughout the EP as a whole. Uninterruptedly, its sparking tempo waves over a sense-distorting soundscape, messily spraying dense bits of clubbing-flavored hues on this subtly hypnotic habitat. In his way, Duncan packs serious dancefloor-oriented material making us curious about his future.

ABOUT US

TechnoTrippin' was established in the early 2014 in Barcelona to support the small techno scene that was emerging slowly but intensely.

In 2015 "Techno in the Forest", an underground festival on the outskirts of Barcelona, was born with the idea of creating strong links between artists, collectives, labels, dancers and everyone related to the underground scene in the city.
After 4 unforgettable editions, we decided we had accomplished our objective of uniting the scene and Techno in the Forest celebrated its last memorable gathering in 2018.

Since then, we have been operating only as a non-profit underground techno platform releasing podcasts & premieres from artists and labels around the globe.

In 2024, celebrating our 10th Anniversary, we launched our solidary techno label, focused on releasing music to help people who are in terryfing situations.

All the proceeds from all releases will go to different NGOs like Save The Children, UNRWA and Open Arms.*

We plan to put on another TechnoTrippin' in the Forest (V). We feel it's time again, after the pandemic, to support and unite the local techno scene by providing an unrivalled quality sound system, a place surrounded by nature, and an atmosphere that reflects the fact that we are not in it for the money. We put our heart and soul into it, simply because we can, and for us, techno is a way of life.
