Far off in the brush of the West Africa there lives a tribe of people that have stirred up a lot of interest in their mythology. The Dogon, from Mali, have some interesting beliefs, elaborate rituals and myths. They believe that they are descended from ancient Egyptians and their story goes back further than 50,000 years. Their stories contain actual facts about the solar system and ancient history. The Dogon tribe believes that the starting point of creation is a star that revolves around Sirius and is known as the 'Digitaria star'. Their understanding is that this star is small, but heavy, and contains the building elements of creation. So, here are some building elements of their music creation. This is our new compilation and is called THE DOGON ORCHESTRA, full of positive vibes and awesome music. This is our world and you're welcome to it.......

Wow, Borderland, this was incredible. Thank you to everyone for co-creating this wonderful event, and a special thanks to @mrkuusk and @tomyjama for their invitation to the @muumimaa wonderland. It was such a beautiful last night that started with this set, the night of the burn. I will keep this memory close to my heart. Hope you enjoy this 2-hour journey that is going all kinds of weird places, from ambient to techno, full of different colors and energies, just like Borderland itself.

We are back from another beautiful Burn in danish Hedeland. Borderland is really something. A Burning Man style festival co-created by 3000 participants, hippies, startup-ers, engineers, punks, DIY creators, kinksters, musicians and artists building up a city full of music stages, bars, mobile cafe’s, tantra tents and art installations for one week. Farn // Muumimaa Stage - Borderland 2019

Back where we started.
A year ago at Muumimaa at Borderland @mallecph and I played together for the first time.
We were back this year, and had a blast of a week with three b2b sessions, in which we played both slow and fast.

One of the recordings (Deep Dive) was corrupted (shame, that was a fun one!), one (Silly Sanctuary) will come up on Malle's profile, and here's the third. It's the recording of our set from Muumimaa, Saturday night (into Sunday) 3-5 am, most likely the fastest and hardest set we played this week (and for me, in a long time!). That, and the confirmation of this magic b2b combo, was really good fun :)

Thanks to everyone who made this Borderland so special, to the sound camp crews for inviting us and putting so much love into this, and to you for listening to this.

Björnson & Techstil at Foxhole Friday night Borderland 2019

Schooled as a classical cellist, Techstil combines the hypnotic rhythm of techno with warm acoustic presence, and timeless geometrical melodies. Growing up with Kraftwerk he fell in love with analogue synthesizers at early age, and by 2006 he started DJ’ing in the underground clubs of Malmö. By 2008 he  followed the Basic Channel-beats to Berlin to participate in the evolution of the Berlin sound. After 4 years in Berlin he turned to a warmer slower sound, inspired by heavy base from Panorama bar, and never-ending weekends at Bar25... After many years in Helsinki, Finland he recently moved to Stockholm where he plays hypnotic deep house and dubby techno from labels like Sol Selectas, Giegling, Molt, Hypnus, Trolldans, Permanent Vacation and Diynamic
