“I’m instantly impressed with the deepness of the choirs and pads, they blend in nicely with each other as always – Perverse immediately leaving a very deep mark with the flow they convey. Notice that they have switched up the BPM a little, in comparison to the other tracks on this first volume. There are some amazing bird samples used, adding a lot to the atmosphere and giving it a more organic touch than it already has through other samples used. 

“The drop is hard, I’m loving the amount of growls flowing through the mix, keeping the mind in a mysterious hypnosis. The low-end is yet again full of pressure – its patterns sound nice because a lot of the basslines come at you in the same period of time – meditating. The percussion sounds fresh: very clean and crisp, with elements placed upon one another, forming a solid and rhythmic flow of high-frequencies. The kick sounds powerful but feels as though it’s placed a little more in the background than the other kicks I’ve heard in the previous tracks of this volume, this is done for a reason. Listen closely to the snare, it’s patterning is smooth and at certain iterations you will hear a subtle reverb – well performed!

“The break sounds beautiful and dark, the dynamics of both the pads and choirs sound very intense and become stronger towards the second drop, don’t forget those organic bird samples returning! The second drop is straight fire, all elements present in the previous minutes are present and swirl into your ears, with those epic pads to return yet again to hypnotise you even further.   “Serious flavour rinsed by the New Zealand boys, but there’s one more to end this sick first volume!”

MdS and Gymmy J they deliver to Respekt world an exquisite techno EP. The title track &#8216;Aug&#8217; is first and it has a great feel and energy from early on. Using a dark bassline synth pattern that gives the track a very good chunk and drive. Plus there are some twisted and sinister sounds that also give it a good dirty edge. Closing this EP is &#8216;Red&#8217;, building with ripping synth patterns as well followed by smooth beats. The solid drums kick in and from then on, we have another solid techno production.A pretty nice release here for Respekt, with MdS and Gymmy J providing a great set of productions, well done.

Cubix makes his debut statement on Kombination Research with a solid techno EP. Starting this EP is &#8216;Rasp&#8217; which is a very an aggressive techno track. Heavy beat mixed up perfectly with a dark percussion on the foreground. &#8216;Kinetix&#8217; is a stilted techno track, with a dark beat and skulking bass that makes this one a techno killer. A magical EP from Cubix, which he knows the definition of techno and exposes two techno anthems on Kombination Research.
