"Pain is the opening track, vinyl crackles and pads bringing us into a dreamy repeating vocal chant to search for healing relief. Love follows, a slow tempo trip into a distant dimension, maybe a different time/age. Third in line is Suriname with its industrial techno vibe that clashes with exotic elements in a very sophisticated way. In The City and South Wind take Elastica tipical atmospheres into a post-dubsteb ‘aura’ with a cinematic narrative that makes the two songs complementary. Bangalore closes his brilliant work with Voodoo Puppet, a tribal feel with a sick vocal loop that reminds of the best Aphex T. 

"Love that sounds like pain, pain that sounds like love, post dubstep that feels thickened by a techno vibe, organic mixed with synthesis… We truly believe in this, this is future. We picture the Bangalore EP as pure new soil ready to receive seeds… And the fruit is arriving!"

As both a DJ (read: mixtape specialist) and a graphic designer, Lee Glasspool holds down a bit of a pretty unique niche. Probably better known across the London club scene and beyond under the name, Smutlee, he’s long since traded in a dancefloor ready blend of a lot of different styles constantly traversing through grime, funky, bashment, hip hop, dancehall and more in one of his ‘regular’ sets. Suffice to say he’s played here a hell of a lot as a direct result. 

Joining us again on Friday night, where he’ll buddy up with JME, Kode9, Plastician, Mumdance and more in Room One, the lad only went above and beyond and personified his all round don status in this sharp half hour blast of his trademark genre bent selecting...
