@fatnotronic is a duo from São Paulo that works with brazilian disco music from the 70s and the 80s. 
On THUMP Brazil, the "Fatnopalooza" series will set the countdown untill Fatnotronic's DJ set at Lollapalooza Brazil, on March 29th. Every friday this month they'll release a different edit from some of the biggest brazilian singers to ever exist. This is the first Fatnopalooza edit, "Matogrosso", based on "Ela Mora em Matogrosso Fronteira com o Paraguai" by Jorge Ben Jor.

Almost two years after the success of The Tony Allen Experiments and a few months after the release of the 7” single Amore, Nu Guinea return with a new LP published by their newborn label NG Records. Nuova Napoli is the result of an extensive musical research that became a historical investigation of the sound that shaped Napoli during the ‘70s and ‘80s, starting from the cross-pollination of genres (disco, jazz-funk, african rhythms) which forms Nu Guinea’s DNA.

*Lyrics of “Je Vulesse” are an extract of the poem “Je vulesse truvà pace” from the poet Eduardo De Filippo.

The Napoli formed, Berlin-based duo Nu Guinea creates sounds that are influenced from the idea of an exotic, far distanced place. By combining various music styles that are related to dancefloor music in its purest sense, they create a distinct sound, touching genre routes that go from obscure disco to world-ethno music.
