Great stuff from June 2020

Music by Roger Whittlesey and Audric Jankauskas. Words by Whittlesey. Jankauskas plays all guitars, some piano, synth and programmed the drums. Noel Barrett plays bass. Keys and all vocals by Whittlesey. 

I sent this song to Audric and he used his compositional and arranging skills to improve the bridge and outro. Then he added the burning solo in the outro, and I knew we had something special.

The bass line in this drew blood! Schweeeeet. This is always a good sign as generally you are wearing your finger a slightly different way. I think that's true here for my bass playing. I'm not a well versed bass player but getting there finally with it 🧬🎶

I went camping for a few days to hang out with the trees, but I have returned with a new tune.

I've been trying to improve my guitar skills as i feel ive been plateaued for a while now, and so i have been learning new songs including a lot of Hendrix which gave me the idea to incorporate bass notes with my thumb into the riff (Little Wing etc). 

Lots of people wander this earth struggling with depression, sadness and a lack of purpose in their life. This song is a story about nature encouraging the people of earth to live out their dreams and reassuring them that there is no reason to frown and no reason not to shoot for their goals right now.
Because after all, the only real time is now.
