春曉 is a Chinese words to explain the season between spring and summer, for me this time is like daydreaming.
As a musician, you must give yourself space to create while listening to music. The practice I mean is to constantly try to play, to find your own expression in music. In the early creation, I I like to work with many musicians from different international music backgrounds. Now I enjoy the actual life to record. In the morning temple, in the subway, in the park, you can collect these interesting music materials. One of my favorite things in my creation is to cover my eyes with the eye mask to play the Erhu , I can only listen to it and play the erhu in a dark place. There will always be an infinite amount of musical expression.

With today’s mix, we close the chapter on this year’s collaboration with Perpendicular Festival, where we teamed up to present some of the most inspiring and forward-thinking sets from artists like Eight Fold Way, 037, Javier Marimon, Sciama, and o.utlier. 
For the grand finale, we’ve saved something truly special: a live set from Valencia-based duo Pajaro Dune, composed of Jaime Romero (aka Estrato Aurora) and composer/pianist David Ortolà (aka d_o_ppelgaenger).
If you’ve followed Delayed, you’re likely already familiar with these two. Their partnership spans over two decades; in that time, they’ve refined a distinct musical dialogue. This particular set, performed on a Sunday around noon, struck the perfect tone for what followed. The interplay between broken, raw, and distorted 606 grooves, oscillating effortlessly from halftime to low-slung tempos around 100 BPM, paired with atmospheric synths, created a hypnotic and propulsive mood.
Romero and Ortolà have found a rare balance, where their sound feels both unbound and deeply rooted, ideal for those transitional, warm-up moments that shift a gathering into flow. This music makes you move like seaweed swaying beneath the surface in the dysphotic zone, where fleeting shafts of sunlight pierce the dark.

'Thank you, Adam, for the opportunity to do a guest mix. I feel fortunate to contribute to your wonderful platform and be a part of its final chapters. I’ve recently been digging into halftime and came across some fun and interesting tunes and wanted to make a mix that flows through various moods and flavors to brighten any day while listening to it. Next on tentacular, we’re thrilled to host a mix from the multi-faceted Lucie Stepankova, known as Avsluta (@avsluta): a London-based sound artist, DJ, and curator. With a focus on the liminal spaces between ambient and dance music, Avsluta creates evocative experiences that invite deep, active listening and emotional connection.

Lucie is the force behind @introspective_electronics, a platform dedicated to exploring ambient-infused sounds through regular radio shows, podcasts, and curated live events. Her collaborative projects include co-running Sonic Garden—an experimental ambient and downtempo event series in partnership with AMOENUS—and co-curating @terra-obscura-london alongside DJ/producer Alicia, a bi-monthly exploration of ambient-tinged UK bass and progressive club sounds.

Through her live performances, Lucie improvises with a mix of objects, field recordings, electronics, and digital processing, crafting speculative soundscapes that embody the essence of nature and emotion. Her DJ sets are equally diverse, seamlessly flowing between ambient, downtempo, UK bass, and off-kilter deep techno, blending atmospheres that resonate both physically and soulfully.

Lisa Mizuno’s (@lisamizuno) musical universe is characterized by a multifaceted and experimental flow, designed to take listeners on an exhilarating journey. Through her innovative approach, she continues to be a significant presence at the heart of the electronic music scene. She started DJ career in 2022, performing at outdoor festivals, and actively DJing abroad with the aim of doing Japan’s underground culture to the world, she  started her own event “Resonance” and welcomed artists who sustained underground electronic music scene.

A lesson in rhythm from a former De School resident.

When it comes to minimalist dance music, Ruben Üvez, AKA Konduku, is one of the best in the game right now. With a masterful and ever-shapeshifting understanding of rhythm, the Berlin-based artist crafts sublime dance music with a staunchly leftfield bent. Don't just take our word for it: how many DJs, after all, can claim to have moved De School to a puddle of tears?

Musically, Üvez is hard to pin down. He's often billed as a techno artist, but actually you'll find his sound sits outside of the genre's many conventions. With an outsider's curiosity, he leans into diverse moods, tempos and genres, though one throughline is always how he arranges his drums. Whether it be deep, Nobu-core techno such as 2023's Hayal EP or UK beat science á la Peverelist on 2019's  Gegek, he leads with rhythm across his DJing and production. The end product is a hypnotic, one-of-a-kind sound that hits the body before the brain has time to catch up. In short, it slaps.

As Üvez's RA Podcast demonstrates, he's got a serious knack for crafting and selecting tunes that can  deeply captivate a dance floor. Clocking in at just over 90 minutes, RA.967 is an excursion through a timeless sound, packed with long, layered blends, flick-of-the-wrist transitions, locked grooves and spine-tingling atmospherics. In 2020, we called Ruben Üvez one of techno's brightest new talents. This mix sees him ascending to a seat at the top table.
