Jin Synth played on the third day of Mostra 23 at the iconic landmark of Castell de Montjuïc in Barcelona, one of the venues of Mostra festival. The Catalan festival will take place in its third edition from 28 to 31 March in 2024.  

About her time at Mostra Jin Synth said:

"Mostra was an absolutely beautiful music festival. It was my first time visiting Barcelona. Meeting incredible artists and warmy friends was the best part of the experience. These four days were a revelry and the stunning beauty of Castell de Montjuïc was a sight to behold. The event left a nice impression on everyone’s heart. I believe the memories created there will last!"

In this special release, we bring you an electrifying excerpt from their live performance in Santiago, January 2023. Atom™ and Tobias, maestros of electronic music, have been sculpting the soundscape of European techno since the 1980s. Their journey is a chronicle of innovation, live experimentation, and sonic mastery.

This episode is a celebration of their enduring collaboration, which began with a historic performance in Frankfurt in 1990. Renowned for their live shows, the duo has continually redefined what it means to experience electronic music.

Their performance is an audacious exploration of musical possibilities, powered by real-time programming and unlimited improvisation. Despite being continents apart, with Atom in Chile and Tobias in Berlin, their reunion on stage ignites a creative force that is palpable in every beat and rhythm.

The mix is a rich tapestry of techno, woven with threads of experience from iconic venues like Berghain and the Labyrinth Festival in Japan. Listeners are invited to embark on a journey that traverses the traditional boundaries of the genre, venturing into uncharted auditory territories.

A live session that encapsulates three decades of evolution in the world of electronic music, where every moment is an spontaneous creation, and every sound a revelation.

A constant balancing act of raw power and haunting score, Rrose’s RYC mix takes us on a deep and fascinating trip into genre-unbound territories, where only abandon and wildness reign supreme. "Last November, I’ve had the chance to play a closing set right after Paramida and Alex Kassian on a Thursday night at Badaboum in Paris for Cahiers Electroniques. The night not being Techno oriented, I tried to respect the progression of the running order on building a groovy set, full of percussions and quite dub focused. It turned out super energetic and people were transported by the storytelling - it’s a very good memory that I wanted to share with Vurt as I’m playing at the venue in Seoul on January 6.

It’s a pure best of 2023 what I have been playing this year with some classic tunes that come time to time in my sets from Ruhig to Tin Man (both timeless), Luigi Tozzi, Dorisburg, DJ Sodeyama, Justin Cudmore, Ectomorph or Ben Buitendjik. Laura BCR takes her name from the much-loved and now closed, Berlin record store, Bass Cadet Records, where she spent a couple of years behind the counter. These days, Laura is best known for her transportive, deep techno and dubby ambient DJ sets and for managing On Board Music label, agency & party organization. She has released music on SoHaSo, live at Robert Johnson, On Board, Auxiliary, Semantica and her latest EP has been out on Konstrukt a few weeks ago.
