The Doctrina Natura project was born with the need to experiment on introspective, organic, hypnotic music, a sound intimately linked to nature. With the music released on Secuencias Temporales, Circular Limited, PhonoTropismi, Ordinamento Selettivo, Alexandar and more, Doctrina Natura tells another story, this time with a mix for our series. No. 41, to be exact.

A decidedly odd question rises to the surface of consciousness while watching evening’s sky turn into night. Where in all this cloudlessness have all the stars now hide? Shadows, wrapped in a cloak of darkness, slowly begin their pagan dance. Tribalistic percussions fill the air as the dance unravels into a more erratic, primordial feast. The nightly rhythmic chaos has aligned into a wave of mischievous magic. The full moon rises, leaving the glimmering reflection in the spectator’s eyes and anything but quiescence in his mind.

Tomorrow is April 1st and another digital EP is to be released on Navigare Audio. For this one we got the Japanese techno virtuoso and veteran Ryogo Yamamori with his "Rainfall". We instantly fell in love with his music and asked him for a mixtape as well. So what would be more proper than to celebrate this day with another chapter on the podcast from the author himself.

We are honored to present our latest collaborator Ryogo Yamamori, a Tokyo based veteran-DJ and producer with a highly prolific decade behind him. His sound is both curious and refined - original yet full of references. This is a quality perfectly encapsulated in this trilogy of original tracks. The hazy melancholy of "Rainfall" recalls a young Yagya, while the warm hypnotic synthworks of "Fernwood" and "Across The Water" brings to mind Dominik Eulberg or something Kompakt of the 00's. Influences from our scene's legacy, yet uniquely Yamamori's very own, timeless sound palette.

Remix duty is by non other than Italian wizard Feral. With numerous excellent releases on Hypnus, Mental Modern and his own Aube Rouge we've learnt that everything he's touching turns to gold. And this is no exception. Slick, fat and groovy psych-techno of highest order, for deep time purposes only.
