Glasgow based Fernie has been immersing himself in the local scene since 2002 taking influences from the city's many techno stalwarts holding residences at a number of the areas key venues allowing him to hone his style over the years.

He provides both deep and driving hypnotic sets full of energy and soaring pads. This same ethos is relayed through his own productions which have seen release across a wide selection of respected labels.

Most recently he continues to develop his own Space Textures imprint facilitating the release of some of the finest atmospheric techno on offer. He also works with the influential Norway based Monument group to deliver podcasts and streams from artists around the globe.

In this session for Temple.Prayer, Fernie delivers a near 2 hour mix of both vinyl and digital selections with a number of unreleased productions and picks from the vaults providing a meandering journey into his mind.

French artist 'Clarence Rise' is our next guest in the series. Taking this opportunity to showcase his love for slower techno, he approaches with a more ambient style, still keeping with his usual sophisticated touch.
Releasing his debut album 'Tangent Beliefs' in 2022, and more recently delivering podcasts for well respected labels, 'Monument' and 'BAHN'. Clarence proves an experienced and progressing talent with numerous releases under his belt.

His inspiration drawing from varying themes and emotions, Clarence incorporates dark atmospheres and complex rhythmic tones, creating a pensive melancholy throughout his music.

Summer is in full swing, and in this episode, we're excited to feature Alderaan, a talented DJ and producer hailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Alderaan has been a engaged in the techno and ambient music scene for more than a decade where he released his first EP back in 2014 on the Planet Rhythm label. Over the years, he has established himself as a prominent figure in Argentina's electronic music landscape, performing at some of the country's top venues.

In this curated mix, Alderaan takes a more abstract approach, stepping away from his usual style. He mentioned how much he enjoyed putting this mix together, and we believe you'll feel that energy too. Enjoy.

Mateo Hurtado creates hypnotic techno and experimental music. Inspired by the surrealist movement, obscure symbolism and ritualistic incantations, his music seeks to invoke the hidden, impossible images buried in the unconscious.

Be it as a DJ or live performer, his intuitive approach seeks to overcome conventional boundaries of the genre, sending the listener on an ever spiralling journey through polyrhythmic drumwork imbued with otherworldly melodies and dronelike, shifting atmospheric soundscapes.

He has released on labels like Annulled Music, Secuencias Temporales, Space Drum Meditation and Accents Records among others.

Hailing from the outskirts of Amsterdam, Nera is managing editor of the renowned platform Minimal Collective, which fruitfully operates at the intersection of music, art and technology. But not only that: She also leaves her mark on the scene with her own musical vision and her well-balanced selections of psychedelic rhythms and progressive gems with perfectly timed trips into the depths of layered emotive basslines.

Nera lifts off with repetetive and minimalist structures that get soon combined with eerie atmospheres. With the addition of more playful sounds this mix gradually builds up into a mind-bending story that visits a variety of uncharted cosmic locations, culminating in heavy bassline drivers topped by intense psychedelics. @carlosbarberopty & @kimaomusic ’s Rhea EP, bridges the organic and the celestial.

Following their standout contribution to the Ensemble II compilation, this two-track release resonates with the cycles of nature and the vastness of the cosmos.

The artwork, when seen from afar, resembles delicate feathers — a nod to the light, ethereal quality of the title track, Rhea. Upon closer look, it reveals intricate snowflake patterns, perfectly capturing the EP’s blend of warmth from Rhea and cosmic chill from Tife.

The track ''Rhea'' shines like light reflected on frosted surfaces, carrying a gentle yet expansive energy. It’s a piece that feels airy and reflective, while the cooler tones of ''Tife'' evoke the crisp night beauty of winter, laced with cosmic elements.

Barbero and Kimao’s ability to weave such contrasting yet harmonious textures creates an experience that feels both grounded and otherworldly with its intricate details and soundscapes showing in that EP.
