DIG CURATED the infamous four of this EP in an omnivorous fashion, allowing vinyl
wizard Louis the 4th to take us on a ride of stylistic adventure between old and
new-school techno wickedry.

Olivia Mendez (the curator behind this EP) picked these gems according to the way
she would build her sets; each track corresponding to a distinct part of a blazing
journey. Each track being a different color on a powerful, vibrant palette, attesting to
the versatility of an artist whose emblem is anonymity - remember Detroit? - and
reinvention. The man behind the bandana doesn't shy away from paying homage to
the old school while at times enveloping us into a computerized sound chaos - classy
as it is.

This selection reveals a side of LTF that hasn't been shown before, catching the ears
of a great number of peeps, who could easily find their match here.

Dilatation is a chugging techno zinger, with a groove that feels minimal yet keeps
expanding through punctured breaks and urging synth enveloped into a sustained
air- a kind of tool that mounts the energy to near combustible.

Almost there decompresses space into a light-weight, energy saver atmosphere, that
fleshes out a brand-new compartment in LTF`s music wallet. Threaded through
driving rides and a rhythmic zeal, it wobbles gently between sustain and release.

On the flip side, Kurrikulum Vitae flexes LTS mechanics, with rascal shifts in a
groove that feels simultaneously ancient and totally new, amassing a depth of
textures and tones towards a skanking peak.

999 seals the deal with multilayered distortions enveloped into ghostly undertones
and reverbing crunches, half-step of being a techno-artefact and a dazzling sound
puzzle, made of a loopy melody edging towards poise.

TENO, a DJ/producer currently based in Osaka, has been making a strong impact on the scene in recent years through both his DJing and production. His DJ sets create a deep sense of immersion with a danceable and groovy techno sound, driven by powerful rhythms ranging from minimal and downtempo to straight techno, elevating an organic consciousness. His sound is always precise yet fluid, shaped by a unique and flexible approach that engages in a dialogue with the audience, filling the space with a distinctive presence. Through numerous podcasts and live performances, he continues to solidify his identity, delivering moments that leave a lasting impression on those who experience them.

As a producer, they have released music on various labels worldwide, including Newrhythmic Records, Room Trax, MZR Records, TNR Media, and Reverse. They became the first Japanese artist to release an EP album on Spain’s renowned Newrhythmic Records, a pioneer in the electronic music scene. This achievement was featured in the international media magazine Vicious.
Additionally, through their techno label Aum Recordings, founded in Osaka, they released an EP featuring a remix by Polygonia, a Munich-based artist. The following year, they released their first vinyl record, featuring a remix by Wata Igarashi, one of Japan’s most highly regarded DJs.
In February 2025, they established their second label, Monos, and released two consecutive EPs, Violet EP and Primrose EP.
Their mixes have also been featured in DJ streaming sessions at SUPER DOMMUNE in Shibuya, as well as on international podcasts and platforms such as MARRON’s Eerste Communie (scheduled for May 2025), IO, Nebuleus, Reverse, Tensione Collective, and CONCEPTUAL VIOLENCE. Their diverse musicality and consistently solid performances have earned them high acclaim both domestically and internationally.

現在大阪を拠点としているDJ/プロデューサーであるTENOは、近年、DJと作曲面でその存在感をシーンに強めてきた。DJではオーガニックな意識を浮上させるミニマル、ダウンテンポ、ストレートテクノの力強いリズムでダンサブルでありグルーヴィなテクノサウンドで深い没入感を生み出し、そのサウンドは常に精緻でありながらも、オーディエンスとの対話を意識したスタイルで、高い独自性と柔軟性によるアプローチで空間を満たす。数々のPodcastやパフォーマンを通じて彼自身のアイデンティティを確固たるものにし続けて、体験した人々に忘れがたい印象を残す瞬間を提供している。
