DIE VERRÜCKTE WELT   (text s.cornella)
 
Einst kam ich in ein fernes Land,
die Sonne rosa schien,
wo Menschen vor die Kutsch' gespannt,
und schwere Pferde zieh'n.
 
Dieses wie in jenem Land,
das sah ich so noch nie,
ich kratzte mich am Kopfe gleich,
und schlug mir auf die Knie.
 
Der Regen viel nach oben nass,
die Härte wurde weich,
ein Wildschwein jagt den Jägersmann,
dem Diener dient ein Scheich.
 
Das Fleische nach Gemüse schmeckt,
Salat schmeckt hier wie Rind,
die Eltern laut im Garten spiel'n,
zur Arbeit muss das Kind.
 
Blondinen auf der Weide steh'n,
gemolken von den Küh'n,
das Feuer macht den Ofen aus,
mit Wasser kann er glüh'n.
 
Die Wale schwimmen durch die Wiese,
Katzen unter'm Meer,
der Käse jagt die Mäuse fort,
ein volles Glas bleibt leer.
 
Die Hasen hier aus Schoko sind,
der Stein aus hartem Holz,
ein Gör das etwas schlechtes tut,
das macht die Mutter stolz.
 
Das ganze mir recht lustig schien,
doch traf mich bald der Schlag,
die Toten rennen wie der Wind,
die flüchten vor dem Sarg.
 
Die Fische saßen um den Teich,
mit Angel, Schnaps und Hut,
sie saßen wirklich grußelig,
die Menschen bissen gut.
 
Ein Hammer schlägt die Nägel ein,
das Blut spritzt querfeldein,
er schlägt sie mit dem Zimmermann,
dort in den Boden rein.
 
Zwei Bäume mit der Säge steh'n,
der Fäller wird gefällt,
die Münzen zahlen Bänker ein,
verkehrt ist diese Welt.
 
Ein Affe tanzt mit Cowboyhut,
der zieht nun die Banan',
der schießt auf eine alte Frau,
der schießt ihr in den Arm.
 
Der Hummer springt nun aus dem Topf,
so rotgekocht im Dampf,
der springt zu einem Sandsack schnell,
und fordert ihn zum Kampf.
 
Doch hat der Sandsack keine Zeit,
der schlägt den Boxer weich,
der hängt an einer schweren Kette,
an der Decke bleich.
 
Der Hummer seine Zange wetzt,
er schlägt den Sack in's aus,
der liegt dort nun zerrissen matt,
dem läuft der Sand heraus.
 
Ich renne vor den Irren weg,
in's tiefste Labyrinth,
doch sehe ich den Ausgang nicht,
vielleicht bin ich auch blind.
 
Ich spüre Schmerz, ich spüre Pain,
oh Gott, mir schmerzt das Hirn,
was spielt sich denn nur in mir ab,
dort hinter meiner Stirn.
 
Ich wollte vor den Irren flieh'n,
doch nun, da sitz ich hier,
In Gummizell' und enger Jack',
bin ich es, der hier wirr.

This the second upload for the soon to be released new album "Stars in the Bright Sky". Probably influenced slightly by Suede's "Dog Man Star" although it has none of that album's glacial, reverb soaked beauty, it stands as a fairly straightforward pop/rock song.
