Marseille's Loïc Bodjollé started out making classic Chicago house as Donarra. As good as it was, he has really found his voice as @cardinalandnun. It's a project at the opposite end of the musical spectrum - a place where dreamy grooves and imagined utopias have been replaced by a much more biting reality. Deranged vocals, tortured guitars and punk synths drag you into a world of raw and visceral sound that has found a perfect home on L.I.E.S.  Back in March, Ron Morelli's label put out Bodjollé's Dancing In Evil album, a gothic collection of EDM, industrial and electro from the dark side. 

This week's no holds barred mix takes you right back to the same place in an instant. Clunking factory automation, caustic drones and heavily distorted drum machines lend the mix a sense of architecture that traps you at the centre while repeatedly collapsing around you. What starts as a collage of short, wrecked textures and busted loops eventually turn into a more elongated techno sound. It is blistered, banging and brilliantly suited to the grottiest rave warehouse you could ever imagine.

It is a physical crossroads where artists meet, greet one another and share in a private context personal sets with an emphasis on the storytelling focusing on content over genres, and allowing both compelling and accurate study of our (very own) mores.

DJ, producer and sound engineer hailing from Ljubljana, Slovenia, and co-founder of independent label and event series DE/FRAGMENT. A skilled selector and proficient mixer with a wide musical pallete, he generally operates at the crossroads of techno, electro and bass music. Over the past few years he has been building a reputation as a wild card in many of Slovenia's best clubs and lineups, always keeping his audience on their toes and delivering fresh and unexpected twists and turns within his sets. He released his latest EP titled The Relentless Struggle of Gravity in November 2022 on the legendary London-based label Singularity Recordings.

Ha actuado como invitada en emisoras de radio de Bangkok y Hong Kong, así como en las fiestas locales SadoMasoDisco y Elephant. Shaoxing es voluntaria y residente en Manila Community Radio, y miembro de los colectivos musicales con sede en Manila Transit Records y Bubble Gang. 

Su mix para "Santiago's Sala", de Phase Radio, se mueve por corrientes de bleeps juguetones, bombos contundentes y texturas psicodélicas. Una hora para el baile!

Shaoxing is a designer and DJ with a hypnotic sound that blends exuberance with intensity. Her sets fizz with erratic beats and pulsating melodies, simmering through off-kilter selections of breakbeat, electro, house and techno. She has guested for radio stations in Bangkok and Hong Kong, as well as played for local parties SadoMasoDisco and Elephant. Shaoxing is a volunteer and resident at Manila Community Radio, and member of Manila-based music collectives transit records and Bubble Gang. 

Her mix for Phase Radio's 'Santiago's Sala' moves through currents of frisky bleeps, hard-hitting drums and psychedelic textures.

marienus is bringing an old friend to No Soap Radio: Chung. With a background in hardcore and heaps of nightlife experience, the Flevoland-based DJ and producer nowadays pushes the most exquisite industrial techno in his dj sets. On the recent "The Pact" compilation brought out by Public Sex Regime, Chung shows off his artistic versatility on "Chromodynamics": a touching, atmospheric, industrial-tinged track. Despite his age, this man is definitely a hidden gem to expect more from.

Teoria Chaosu (the Theory of Chaos) was first created as a medium of exchange of emotions by the means of sounds, in order to gain experience from dancing, from common meeting ground and from the people who participated with us in those rituals. The Theory of Chaos is a moment of relax in the eye of a hurricane. It is gaining peace through the most intensive, the most unexpected and the most unobvious music contexts.
