Hyper Classical is a reload of my past month’s work, an anthology of diverse classical traditions highlighting lesser-known instruments and forms.
I’ve been making acoustic techno for 30 years with orchestral instruments in a sequencer, not realizing it wasn’t common in DAWs.
I created Hyperclassical — a new genre that takes classical instruments and structures, then reshapes them with the maximalist, cut-up energy of hyperpop.
It also reimagines other genres — Hyperpop, EDM, R&B, Techno — through a classical lens.
It explores how different cultures shape the classical sound beyond the Western canon.

The Arghul is an ancient double-pipe woodwind instrument from Egypt and the Levant, dating back thousands of years.
It combines a melody pipe with a longer drone pipe, producing a raw, layered sound rich in microtonal nuances.
Traditionally used in folk and ceremonial music, it remains a rare link between Middle Eastern heritage and modern experimentation.

I have always approached techno through classical instruments, using digital audio workstations (DAWs) as my canvas.
Instead of relying solely on synthesizers, I adapt strings, brass, and acoustic timbres into sequenced, beat-driven forms.
This method bridges traditional orchestration and electronic structure, giving my techno a distinct electroacoustic identity.
