BANTU is a songwriter living in Atlanta, GA. Like many songwriters, his love for music spans several styles, with RnB, neo-soul, and classic soul being the main sources of inspiration. Bantu describes his style as "Renaissance Soul" or "Ren-Soul" since the music attempts to shape and define the cultural rebirth of "soul music." 

As a songwriter and producer, he enjoys connecting with collaborators. He always comments about how there is so much talent out here working independently trying to get established, and how social networking helps with making collaborations. 

BANTU is also a true "renaissance soul" who has several passions that makes it difficult to pick just one. You can hear those different passions in the various styles in his Ren-Soul song catalog. 

Two early lo-fi tracks released on the underground indie label, Apple Brothers’ Music (BANTU - Double Sure Shot) are club favorites of die-hard funk music lovers world-wide. When he lived in L.A., he met Len Chandler and John Braheny, the founders of the L.A. Songwriters’ Showcase, which for many years was the premier organization devoted to supporting and educating songwriters. Len and John encouraged Bantu to try his hand at songwriting. 

Now, he collaborates with artists and creatives around the globe to produce an eclectic palette of storytelling in his song catalog.
