Keith had a gentle guitar phrase and  a few words that he was playing with and shuffled it over to me for a listen to see what I made of it. The result is the song below. The conflict is in the spirituality represented by the sparks on a fire ascending, and the observation that the embers twinkle, fade and fall, silent. What is it all about if the prayers, meditations and positive thoughts just fall back to earth like the sparks? The beliefs we embrace must hit the road of reality. If they measure up to good - wonderful! But if not? The supreme irony for me is watching kids being taught to hate in a religious school class.  I was going to use the coordinating conjunction BUT to set up the point of contrast (But you can't..."). Instead, Keith preferred the AND ("And you can't...") as, in addition to all that one CAN believe, you must be aware that other things follow too. Can And Cannot. So simple. Or is it?

In this new place I call my own

Entre-temps traces a quiet arc between past and present. A moment suspended in the in-between. Born from long sessions in winter rooms and riverside solitude, the tracks mirror each other like siblings, growing side by side, shaped by shared silence and shifting light.

A quiet search unfolds to become an endless chase. Just a steady surrender to sound, to repetition, to moments of clarity softened by waves of doubt. At times, a strange sense of déjà-vu lingers, a gentle murmur of something once felt, just out of reach. In the balance between motion and stillness, between echo and origin, something like refuge begins to take shape.

I'm a British-American Electronic musician by the name of Nathan who currently lives in the Pacific NW. ... Sometimes I take extended Social Media breaks for my sanity. Lol! 😅 ... So if I ever miss responding to a comment or returning a follow, it's only because it's hard catching up when I've been gone a month.

I play vintage synths which I've had for decades(because new ones are expensive. Lol!), but in the last couple of years I've been working much more with DAWs (which is awesome because my fingers don't work as well as they used to), with the occasional flourish from my aging synths.

I'm influenced by all varieties of electronic and electronic-adjacent music from 1960s/70s - 2020s, not to mention a bit of Prog and Metal, and Jazz Fusion. 

My focus tends to be on Trance, Ambient, Synthwave, EDM, Synthpop, EBM, Industrial, Darkwave, Futurepop, and the occasional hint of Jazz Fusion. (Sometimes all in the same track).

That's what happens when you're hooked by the Doctor Who Theme at a young age. ;-)  

I'm not always entirely sure which subgenres many my tracks are closest to, So I try to pick the broadest and most dominant one for the main tag. The first row of tags are the other ones I reckon they're closest to, and the rest are an assortment of other related tags, some closer than others.
