Zhao Gao（?〜207B.C.）

Zhao Gao was a eunuch from the Qin state. From a young age, he served Ying Zheng, the future First Emperor, but his origins are unknown.

He was highly trusted by Ying Zheng and even served as the tutor for his youngest son, Hu Hai.

However, when Ying Zheng died, he changed his will and made Hu Hai the emperor, plotting to usurp the country.

He used Hu Hai as his puppet and wiped out all resistance. Even Li Si was no exception to him.

The Qin Dynasty unified China at the cost of many lives, but due to the misrule of Zhao Gao, it continued to fall into ruin.

他深受嬴政的信任，甚至担任他的小儿子胡亥的家庭教师。

他以胡亥为傀儡，消灭了一切反抗。就连李斯对他来说也不例外。

秦朝以牺牲许多人的生命为代价统一了中国，但由于赵高的暴政，秦朝不断走向灭亡。

Composition – The Eclectic Collective
This song started in probably the most effective way our group writes them. Ken had a spectacular drum beat that was unused in a previous project, so JJ composed and recorded with his magical keys a chord structure and arrangement. Once we had a beat and a chord structure, I came along and added my foundational bass. 
  Now that the rhythm section was complete and the chord structure was in place, Stephen added his unique melody line that you hear at the beginning and every other verse on his magic banjo. He also plays all the initial guitar until about the 1:40 mark, when Tez takes over. In addition, Stephen also laid down some really trippy sitar in the break section. Then it was time for Tez to add some spice to the mix with his fiery guitar solos, which you hear from about 1:40 on, eventually building up to a crescendo towards the end. 
  Once we had all the music down, we realized that we had a big gap in the bridge without much going on in it. So, Mark came through and recorded a cool poem he had written on his refrigerator with word magnets more than a decade ago, captured with a picture, and added to for the this song. The poem is loosely based on the idea that our dreams exist in a digital environment/universe. The girl's voice you hear echoing him is his daughter, for whom he originally composed it, in her first appearance with the EC. 
  The song was now finished, except for Mark using his masterful production skills to trim and move a few things. After he made those adjustments on, he threw a mix on it. While we usually defer to Tez or Stephen for the mix, Mark did such a great job, we decided to keep his mix. Stephen did, however master and EQ it to make it a finished product. 
  This is a song written truly as a whole band effort, showcasing what the Eclectic Collective can do. I hope you enjoy listening to is as much as we enjoyed creating it.

THE 27 CLUB has become one of the most elusive and remarkably tragic coincidences in rock & roll history. The term became widely known after Kurt Cobain’s death in 1994, with rock fans connecting his age to that of Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones and Jimi Hendrix – though it was notable to fans in the early 1970s when those four visionaries died within just two years of each other. When Amy Winehouse passed away at age 27 in 2011, it attracted even more attention to the significance of the age. While the club has been largely connected to musicians, it has expanded since, as many young actors and artists have lost their lives due to everything from addiction to suicide to freak accidents. The unfortunate and untimely losses are connected to the 27club.

Wake me up in the spring (Parts 1 & 2)

It’s been a while since Terry and I have released a Texas Tea collaboration, but we finally got hold of one.  This is called ‘Overflow’.  Terry started this one off, as is the case with most Texas Tea tracks and I went in with a flashlight to find all the cool spots that were primed for some twangy ambience. Terry did the mix and production honors and this one was out the door !  Enjoy the mellow 🍄‍🟫🧘‍♂️👽
