Storm City

Stephen a.k.a. @texmex-shaman and I have worked on some epic multi-artist collab tracks before (like The Holy Dumpling), but this is the first time that just the two of us have worked together. I came up with the beat and synths and because of the dubby kind of style I thought it was just dying for some guitars. I was stoked that Stephen agreed to take a run at this and even more so after hearing the results! The mixing on this one is a joint effort too.

Watered Down - w/ TexMex Shaman

This is just the second time that @texmex-shaman / Stephen and I have worked together one-on-one. We are really liking what happens when we combine our efforts! This piece came together pretty quickly, it was co-produced by the two of us with Stephen doing a lot of the heavy lifting toward the end, and producing the final mix. As you might expect I am on synth (and drumbeat) and he is on guitar. We were really having fun with all these wild sounds, and amusingly the weirdness of this track seems to have broken SC's genre suggesting AI: when we first uploaded one of the later mixes SoundCloud actually suggested all of the genres that are tagged below haha. I've never seen such a range and variety in the auto-suggestion... Thanks for listening!

Clouds Dissolve -  w/ TexMex Shaman

This is the third one-on-one collaboration from me and @texmex-shaman , I think Stephen and I make such a good creative team, have loved working with him! I had been holding onto this track for some time because I felt it was missing something. Finally sent it to Stephen and he immediately could imagine guitar played with an e-bow weaving in and out. He absolutely nailed the vibe that I was going for, I think his part perfectly builds on the mood that I'd been trying to develop. Hope you will also enjoy giving it a listen!

Space Face -  w/ TexMex Shaman

@texmex-shaman and I are making a regular habit out of collaborating, and I really dig the strange fusion of sounds we are concocting! I feel like his more organic guitar element is the missing ingredient to my electro melodies and beats. Hope you'll enjoy listening to this one as much as we did making it.

It’s been a while since Terry and I have released a Texas Tea collaboration, but we finally got hold of one.  This is called ‘Overflow’.  Terry started this one off, as is the case with most Texas Tea tracks and I went in with a flashlight to find all the cool spots that were primed for some twangy ambience. humble attempt on real Clarinet :-) - original track, with a simple backing ....
I'm better on the EWI with the clarinet sound, because I can use the saxophone fingering. But the real thing is of course the challenge :-)
