Textbeak has been producing and spinning dark music for a quite a while now. Influenced by artists such as Coil, Cabaret Voltaire, and Skinny Puppy, he started creating music in the late 80s with his longtime friend Todd Sines. Together, they worked on various projects and eventually formed B/Re (Body Release) with Titonton Duvante and Charles Noel. Textbeak (as his project Bath) later signed with Jevan Records (run by Lestat) and recorded with producer Kramer. He has since released solo works under the name Textbeak on various labels.   

Textbeak has performed at numerous events nationally and internationally, opening for notable artists such as Modern English, Merzbow, Nitzer Ebb, The Legendary Pink Dots and Meat Beat Manifesto. He has also remixed tracks for various artists including Archetype (aka Daniel Myer of Haujobb), ∆AIMON, Blush Response and Bestial Mouths. His recent release, Sick For Songs A Season Eats, on Cleopatra Records featured collaborations with Mark Stewart (The Pop Group), John Fryer (This Mortal Coil) and more.  

His latest release VIBROFOLK will be out April 23rd on ClanDestine Records (Glasgow) under the artist name BLOODBEAK🩸

Facets has been billed with some of the scene's top talent, such as Ivan Smagghe, John Talabot, Ellen Allien, Vladimir Ivkovic, Moritz von Oswald, Adam X, Solar, Interstellar Funk, Kim Ann Foxman, Curses, Phase Fatale, Lindstrom, Lena Willikens, Moscoman, Lee Douglas, Khidja, Charlotte de Witte, and lots more, in top underground venues in the US, Mexico, and Europe.

Facets is the founder of Samo Records and Samo Nights, the club night associated with the label. Over the years, he has booked the likes of Black Merlin, Manfredas, Joakim, Hugo Capablanca, Andi, Sacha Mambo, Willie Burns, Wrecked, DatKat (Analog Soul), MR TC, In Flagranti, DJ Overdose, Cosmo Vitelli, Bustie, Patrick Russell, Sharif Laffrey, Heap, Naduve, and more.

Samo Records is a label exploring the darker, moodier side of electronic music. Some of the artists featured on the label so far include: Anatolian Weapons, Local Suicide, Skelesys, Intergalactic Gary, Mijo, Neud Photo, Antoni Maiovvi, Zombies in Miami, Fabrizio Mammarella, Balam, and Pixelife, to name a few. He hosts a show at The Lot Radio, which has included artists featured at the label-related parties and/or on previous releases. 

Facets is one-third of Italomatic, Brooklyn's premier italo-disco, new wave, freestyle, and synth party, along with Andi (Synthicide) and Rok One.

Alexander hacke

Alexander Hacke – was born in the proletarian district of Berlin Neukölln. A musician from the start, he joined Einstürzende Neubauten in 1980 at the tender age of 14, besides playing in numerous influential underground-groups and writing, recording, releasing and performing music under the pseudonym Alexander von Borsig. Throughout the eighties and up until today he not only collaborates with countless artists of various genres but also continues to produce records and score music for theater, feature and documentary movies.

In 1986 he teamed up with the Australian band Crime And The City Solution, then recorded and toured with Italian pop-icon Gianna Naninni, formed the alternative country-music outfit Jever Mountain Boys, improvised with Can-drummer Jaki Liebezeit for Japanese avantgarde-star Phew and produced records for the likes of Miranda Sex Garden, French anarchist songwriter Fred Alpi or Berlin post-punk characters Mutter.

In 2005 he starred as the main protagonist in Fatih Akin’s movie “Crossing the Bridge –the sound of Istanbul” and contributed music for the directors award-winning feature “Head On”.

Some of the many movie-productions which bear Hacke’s unmistakable hand-writing are “8 Miles High” a bio-picture about Germany’s premier femme fatale of the sixties and seventies Uschi Obermaier, the Finnish coming-of-age drama “Last Cowboy Standing” by Zaida Bergroth and “Fuori Dalle Corde / Out Of Bounds” the bare-knuckle fist-fighting epic by Italian director Fulvio Bernasconi, for which he received the award for best music at the 26th Festival International Du Premier Film in Annonay, France.

Since 2001 Alexander Hacke has been collaborating with the American artist Danielle de Picciotto who was singer in the band “Space Cowboys”, conceived the “Ocean Club” together with Gudrun Gut and was co-founder of the “Love Parade”. Together they initiated performances such as “Mountains of Madness” based on HP Lovecraft stories (inviting the English trio “Tiger Lillies” to participate), “Bada Bing” a performance series presenting an eclectic selection of new Berlin bands, “The History of Electricity” an electronic performance and numerous international workshops and lectures on the innovative culture in Berlin.

Alexander Hacke has released three solo-albums: “Filmarbeiten” a compilation of his early film-works, “Sanctuary”, a so-called Road-Record, which he produced during a journey around the world and “Doomed”, originally conceived for an inter-disciplinary exhibition.
