Sound In Silence proudly presents the collaboration of Ruxpin & Stafrænn Hákon and their first album Meet Me In Forever.

Both artists have been part of Sound In Silence in the past, as Stafrænn Hákon had released on the label his seventh full-length album Prammi in 2012 and had collaborated with Absent Without Leave on the later’s album Faded Photographs in 2010, while Ruxpin had contributed a remix to the Faded Photographs Remixes album that followed in 2013.

The eclectic electronic producer Ruxpin is one of the leading figures in the Icelandic contemporary music scene. Widely associated with iconic labels such as n5MD and Elektrolux, Ruxpin stays true to his roots by consistently innovating his interpretation of melodic IDM electronic music, integrating soul and innovation with the scene.

Stafrænn Hákon has collaborated with a broad range of artists and musicians and was aired at the late John Peel´s radio sessions amongst others. The band has released material on several indie labels such as Darla Records, Secret Eye Records, Resonant, Awkward Silence Recordings, Chat Blanc Records and Japanese Nature Bliss & Happy Prince.

Two opposites make a positive. Two musical acts, both originating from Iceland, who have traveled separate paths for more than twenty years unite and bring us twelve compositions where the electronic world of Ruxpin collides with the post-rock atmospheric world of Stafrænn Hákon, resulting in an interesting blend that will undoubtedly raise some eyebrows among their followers.

This is a limited edition of 300 handmade and hand-numbered collectible copies. It is packaged in a lovely hand-stamped 127mm x 127mm 250 gsm light brown recycled cardboard envelope with the front cover image printed on a polaroid style photo paper and an insert sheet containing tracklist and information printed on a 120 gsm light brown recycled cardboard. It also comes bundled with a download code coupon and a Sound In Silence card.

Mater Suspiria Vision - Silent Running (Textbeak X BLACK Gallows RMX)

Textbeak has been producing and spinning dark music for over a decade. Influenced by artists such as Coil, Cabaret Voltaire, and Skinny Puppy, he started creating music in the late 80s with his longtime friend Todd Sines. Together, they worked on various projects and eventually formed B/Re (Body Release) with Titonton Duvante and Charles Noel. Textbeak (as his project Bath) later signed with Jevan Records (run by Lestat) and recorded with producer Kramer. He has since released solo works under the name Textbeak on various labels.   

Textbeak has performed at numerous events nationally and internationally, opening for notable artists such as Modern English, Merzbow, Nitzer Ebb, The Legendary Pink Dots and Meat Beat Manifesto. He has also remixed tracks for various artists including Archetype (aka Daniel Myer of Haujobb), ∆AIMON, Blush Response and Bestial Mouths. His recent release, Sick For Songs A Season Eats, on Cleopatra Records featured collaborations with Mark Stewart (The Pop Group), John Fryer (This Mortal Coil) and more.  

His latest release VIBROFOLK will be out April 23rd on ClanDestine Records (Glasgow) under the artist name BLOODBEAK🩸
