Those of you who have been following us recently probably remember Sinistarr's absolutely mental Booms and Claps mix from early 2019, and we're happy to find that he's been hard at work since then preparing the material for his forthcoming 12" release "Everything on Time" on Defrostatica Records. Today's premiere from the release comes to us in the form of "KNS 2019," a rave-ready weapon clocking in at 170 bpm that draws on electro and techno just as much as jungle, drum & bass, and "halftime." The driving beat structure and arpeggios give the tune a raw Detroit analog vibe while the choppy breaks and gritty low-end bring it home with a strong bass music influence. "I was watching alot of Westerns at the time (summer 2017 in Cork) so went a bit wild with the movie sampling as well as extra breaks and synth work to extend Etch's lush sound palette..

This edition of the MAINFRAME comes from Circuit System resident club technician, Cyribro. Taking us on a trip with his techno-tinged approach to broken beats.

"This was indeed a journey of a mix to complete. I've jumped around so many different genres and BPM ranges over the past couple of years, finding space that felt the most natural has been liberating. From playing straight Techno and House for many years — making my way through Drum and Bass, Dubstep and Trap, going through Juke/Footwork and weird bass music; finding a realm in 130BPM and "rollage" is nothing short of a treat. This concept was to showcase the 130 range and cruise through the various vibes that come with it. With Grime-sounding tracks, halftime, 4x4, tropical and more — I've escorted listeners through my brain and into my soul. I sincerely hope the journey listening to this mix is as enjoyable to the listeners as it was for me to make it."
