Over the past few years, the sound of early 90s trance has seen a huge renaissance, with a new wave of producers such as KI/KI, Adam Pits and Nina Kraviz bringing to the true sound of 90s euphoria, to a new generation. On this 12th edition, We hand over the turn tables to a man that has become enamored with that sound, Oscar Torres.

Over the next 85 minutes, expect a blistering blend of tracks old and new from the Ibicencan DJ, in a place where trance and techno meet.

2022 has been a breakout year for the re-emergence of trance with a flood of new artists such as  Glen S, Bliss Inc, SEO John and Reflex Blue, to name but a few.

TranceFix Radio #18 - Merging Scenes - Mixed By Sunda

It's dark, the wind feels almost like ice on your face and above you the Moon is bright and full. It's a harrowing, yet beautiful night. The stars dancing on the night sky, clouds nowhere to be found and complete silence. 

The tower in front of you with a massive bell stands like a monument, a memory of a forgotten time. Surrounding you are hundreds of graves, each with their own name, date and message of forgotten love and in front of you is the one you seek. With flowers in one hand and a small torch in the other, you lay them down, trying to remember the person. 

All of a sudden a sound behind you interrupts your moment of peace. You turn around, but nothing's there. Again, the sound of gravel being moved around, of branches and leaves being pushed over. Your heart starts pounding and a feeling of unease starts creeping in. Suddenly the sound is around you, but you see nothing. Your feet feels heavy, you turn around and look down. The grave wasn't the grave you sought - instead of "Grandma" it says something else. Almost like... "idiot", but not quite. You move the torch closer in and the name finally reveals itself: Idiosyncrasy

By placing the flowers you've accidentally unlocked the forbidden hex - dead men, women and children all of a sudden starts raising from the graves to seek you out. Underneath you feel a pull. "The idiot!" you think to yourself, but it's too late. It has begun. You look up to read the sign: "raveyard" - music starts blasting from the empty tombs, the dead starts dancing and you can't help yourself. The night has only just begun and for the next couple of hours you're trapped in a dance - some might even say TRANCE.

Wanderwelle are a duo from Amsterdam who have been making waves with exquisitely executed releases on the dub-drenched Silent Season imprint. Their music is imbued with an enchanted sense of narrative, traveling to the farthest outposts imaginable with no intention to return. Through a slew of tastefully selected mixes they have also exhibited a sublime ear for DJing, such that we found it no less than necessary to ask them for a contribution to UNRUSH. So take a large dose of vast, empty space, and meditate on this mix from the one and only Wanderwelle.
