Gerald Pulliam Jr, better known by his stage name RAZOR is an American Artist. He was born and raised in Inglewood, California, to his mother Cassandra Pulliam & his late father Gerald Pulliam Sr. His passion for music began when he was seven years of age. The people around him figured if he started at that particular age, then he must have been destined for greatness. When he came across his older brother’s collection of hip-hop music, his life & focus was changed dramatically. He then began writing his own lyrics. 
For his age, his lyrics contained topics & experiences that no many rappers of that time could relate to. You’ll always here about rappers talking about money, apparel, cars, girls, etc, but Gerald on the other hand, wrote about his mental maturity & what he could possibly do to further increase it. Most kids his age were only thinking about cartoons & toys, but he kept his head in his composition books. When he entered middle school, he put music on a back burner to focus on his work, but due to the bullying & distractions he dealt with, he went back to using writing lyrics as his stress reliever. 
Eventually his lyrics became a bit more bold, mainly because of the anger that slowly built within him, but unlike a lot of known artists, Gerald channeled his emotions and used his anger in a more positive & demonstrative point of view. By the end of his middle school years, he entered the battle rap realm. This transition marked the moment in his life where he knew music was truly his passion. In early 2009, Gerald recorded his 1st official song “Who Is It”, with a close friend & fellow artist Andre Diamen. He then started working on more tracks, which eventually led to the release of his 1st mixtape “818’s Finest Vol.1” on November 18th of 2010. 
RAZOR is known for also teaming up with CEO of MG1 Records, Michael Gutierrez, better known by his stage name Mikey G, along with the entire MG1 artist roster. Gerald founded his team Da Valley Boyz Entertainment (dVb ent.) in early 2010. The dVb roster consists of Riddlez, Damage, Aktive, Drunkin’ Stylez, Sir Realest, Obscene, and Vapor. The team means the world to him, meaning he’ll do whatever it takes to make sure each one of his artists get an equal opportunity to shine. dVb ent is an average team, with an above average passion for music.

Growing up in the greater Los Angeles area and raised with the diversity of of music I2J was most intrigued with the Urban Style of story telling: Hip Hop.

I2J strikes you with rapid multi syllabic rhymes that speaks upon, Passion, Ambition, Motivation, Hope, and the dark truths of his troubles past. Writing emotional lyrics with complex structured rhyme schemes that still communicates focus and determination in a way his fans can understand is what I2J does best.

I2J caught ear of WEST COAST Diamond Producer Keith Clizark (Snoop Dogg, Dr.Dre, Too Short, Master P and More)who stepped in to help further build on the foundations built by this seasoned emcee.

Influences & Heroes:

TECH N9NE- The loyalty and determination he had to finish out his quest on Earth.

Joey Jordinson- I2J is also a drummer, and Joey is still in his eyes one of the best to ever do it. I2J strives for that same goal.

Linkin Park- An unorthodox Hip Hop/Hard Rock group who inspired I2J to be himself with music.

NF- This artist is Huge in I2J’s eyes. NF opened a door for I2J in a way that no other artist has. I2J can relate to 100% of what NF is rapping about. Dreams, Negative & Failed Relationships, And the inner battles real people go through.

I2J has since, found a new sound which led him to a new way of expressing himself through his art. A new way of creating music. A new way of life.
