Health Advices of the Prophet ﷺ by Shaykh Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis

The khuṭbah at Masjid al-Furqān (TROID) on 2022.07.15 that preceded the 2022 summer conference entitled: Singling Out the Truth Amidst a Sea of Falsehood. Shaykh Kāshiff Khān mentions numerous ayāt and ḥadīth about the blessing of following the Sunnah and clinging to it amidst a sea of misguidance. 

Narrated Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You will follow the ways of those nations who were before you, span by span and cubit by cubit (i.e., inch by inch) so much so that even if they entered a hole of a mastigure, you would follow them." We said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! (Do you mean) the Jews and the Christians?" He said, "Whom else?" Saḥiḥ al-Bukhārī 7320

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُمَرَ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ـ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ ـ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ لَتَتْبَعُنَّ سَنَنَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ شِبْرًا شِبْرًا وَذِرَاعًا بِذِرَاعٍ، حَتَّى لَوْ دَخَلُوا جُحْرَ ضَبٍّ تَبِعْتُمُوهُمْ ‏"‏‏.‏ قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى قَالَ ‏"‏ فَمَنْ ‏"‏‏.‏

Death is a Matter of Divine Preordainment

- Chapter 1: Kitāb aṭ-Ṭahārah
- Ḥadīth #3: “Save your heels from the Fire.”
- The literal translation of the ḥadīth, and its meaning. 
- Narrations that explain the context of the aforementioned ḥadīth. 
- The obligation of making sure every limb is washed properly and water reaches the correct places. 
- The danger a person exposes himself to by not completing his wuḍū. 
- The effect of the traces of wuḍū’ on the Day of Judgement.  
- The body parts prohibited for the Fire to consume.
- Ardently following the Prophet ﷺ and abiding by the limits of wuḍū’. 
- The reason and manner in which Abū Hurayrah (رضى الله عنه) would “extend the limits of his brightness”. 
- The humility of Abū Hurayrah, and why he presumed that ‘Abdullāh b. ‘Amr b. al-‘Āṣ (رضى الله عنهم) narrated more aḥadīth than himself. 


Questions:
1. Regarding the roots of the beard during the wuḍū’, does one run his fingers through his beard each time he washes his face?
2. If I am in a state of janābah due to a night emission or due to relations and the time for ṣalāh is going to run out in about ten minutes, should I run to do the ghusl and miss the ṣalāh or do wuḍū’ and pray?
3. What do you say to the Muslims supporting Iran against the state of “Israel”?
4. What naṣīḥah can you give to the guardians of the sisters, and sisters themselves, concerning their inconsiderate manners as it relates to responding to brothers?  
5. Why do the Ḥanafīs say wiping over the socks are restricted to leather and not cotton or other materials? Do they have proof for this?
6. What advice do you give regarding how to deal with family members who are older and carry out innovated funeral practices?
