Vinyl Pleasures unveils a very special release—an exclusive revision of HY BRASIL by renowned remixer and edit master, The Reflex. Known for his precision-crafted reworks, The Reflex brings his signature touch to HY BRASIL, transforming it into a fresh disco-infused dancefloor experience while preserving the track’s deep, organic essence.

The revision builds on the original’s rich textures, adding a dynamic energy that blends deep house grooves, intricate rhythms, and a hypnotic flow. A striking violin buildup toward the end, accompanied by a funky piano hook, takes the track to a crescendo, sending listeners back to the epic hours of dance culture at Wigan Casino, where obscure Northern Soul 45s burned up the dancefloor.

This new take infuses the track with a vibrant disco sensibility, staying true to Vinyl Pleasures' ethos of deep, reflective, yet functional music. As always, the release aligns with the full moon cycle, reinforcing its ritualistic and timeless connection to sound.

One of French electronic music’s most revered names, The Reflex debuts on Glitterbox with the long-awaited ID ‘Weekend’. The now London-based producer, DJ and remixer is widely celebrated for his ‘revisions’, deep diving into the stems of tracks and re-building them from the ground up. He has added his signature to hundreds of classic tracks from A-list artists, clocking in over 100 million streams and earning him major respect from the scene’s very best - including Nile Rogers, Disclosure, Mousse T., Gilles Peterson and famed ‘Thriller’ songwriter Rod Temperton to name a very small few. Originally debuted in December 2018 as a rough demo in The Reflex’s ‘Mastertapes' series, ‘Weekend’ quickly became a reliable secret weapon for his DJ sets across the globe – soon to include Glitterbox’s summer season at Hï Ibiza and the label’s stage at Defected Malta in 2025. His most requested track ever, ‘Weekend’ was created with Scottish producer and long-time friend Johnny Copland who lends his multi-instrumental talents to the record; with its incredibly catchy hooks and undeniable feel-good vibes, The Reflex’s ‘Weekend’ is now finally released unto the world.
