Arjen Flipsen a.k.a Niles Philips is back with a new trip hop and downtempo four track EP release under the title 'Out of Sight'. 

In this era where technological development goes faster than ever and the seamy side reveals itself to the world, Niles slows down the tempo to reflect. His EP 'Out of Sight' takes us back to the times where our current state was a distant future, maybe even from another planet. The songs on this EP tell a story about the hunger for evolution and the desire to take hold of what is familiar. 

All songs are performed in Niles Philips his typical cinematic style. Where synthesizers, (bass) guitars, organs and soundscapes are blended to well-balanced little melodic chapters. 

In this release you will discover once again his unique way of producing organic music with fat beats and awesome melodies.

Panama Papers Vol. 1 - Kamarita

Singer and producer Brazen Rule comes from the city Lira in northern Uganda. He won the Pearl of Africa Music Awards for Northern Artist of the Year, was given 4 times the title as best producer at the Lango Entertainment Awards and was also chosen best northern Reggae artist of the year. He made himself a name as one of the most humble artists in the north because his lyrics are centered about the everyday people that hustle from day to day to earn a living, the market women, the single mothers or the orphans that were raised after the war in the north. 

Ancient Astronauts connected with Brazen Rule in 2017 when DOGU was part of the Rhythm Is Life Tour 2017 in northern Uganda and Brazen was one of the attendees of the workshop in Lira. For the final compilation of this tour he recorded the lyrics for “Bad Muje” to an older beat by Ancient Astronauts and Poldoore. And that version of “Bad Muje” became a big hit in northern Uganda and now people call Brazen Rule “Bad Muje” since that day. It is a saying for an older respected person, one with experience and skills.

But that original version of “Bad Muje” was never officially released. It only came out on the free download compilation of the Rhythm Is Life Tour 2017 that is available on Bandcamp. So for the upcoming label compilation “20 years Fantastic Freeriding” Kabanjak and DOGU of Ancient Astronauts decided to produce a new riddim for the song and give it a proper official release. And here it is!

“Life In The Wild Garden” is my second album and it follows the footsteps of the first one "Five Finger Discount" but this time the whole is seasoned with lazy boom bap beats, and smooth field recordings - to make it more personal. 
I moved out from the city of Budapest to a nice village on the northern side of Hungary in late 2017. The new environment and lifestyle, far from the noisy and loud capital served as the main inspiration source to make “Life In The Wild Garden”. The title itself is a word play and also a nod to my new home village Érsekvadkert which could be translated roughly to English as Bishop’s Wild Garden.
