This is a 'science-rap' song I recorded in Boulder, Colorado in 1995.  I did the drum programming, played the keyboard parts, and added vocals.  The song was inspired after I climbed Blanca Peak in southern Colorado, known to the Navaho as "Sis Naajini", the "home of the sky people."  When I came down, it was as if I'd been contacted by "trilobite consciousness".  I launched into a massive trilobite research project, began painting them on rocks and then did this song.  Trilobites ARE your friends.  Let's hope that when "man, the wise" is extinct, future inhabitants of Earth might wear fossilized humans around their necks!

This legendary and ground-breaking show was recorded beneath Grandmother Pohutakawa, a huge wonderful tree at Harataonga Bay on Great Barrier Island New Zealand. I camped out beneath her and then recorded this four-way interview with her, Teddy Koala, Wally Kotsaka (that's the Russian word for 'orca') and myself, reluctantly representing the homo sapiens. I begin the interview with a discussion of the inherent limitations of using a primitive form of communication like symbolic language and in particular English but this was necessary in order for it to be broadcast as 'talk radio.' Grandmother, Teddy and Wally each tell a bit of their own story. The common ground is that...could you have guessed...WE, 'homo sapiens', 'man, the wise'...in the glory of our self-acclaimed intelligence and superiority...are waging a war against all forms of life on Mother Earth, including her and including ourselves. LIVE SIMPLY SO THAT OTHERS MAY SIMPLY LIVE.

This is a techno-rap song I recorded in Boulder, Colorado in 1995.  I had just climbed one of the sacred mountains of the Navaho, Blanca Peak, or "Sis Naajini", meaning "home of the sky people."  I came back to Boulder and was immediately inspired to start researching trilobites, as well as to write this song, which picks up where the Dr. Seuss book leaves off.
