The song is from a dream I had about Worf from Star Trek defending an orphan from drug addict assassins. He then participated in a time travel experiment, using a shuttle with a field of particles without positions in space to collide with its corresponding pair in the future, at high velocity at the periapsis of a highly elliptical orbit , thereby exerting a drag effect and pulling it into the future. Finally Worf turned out to be a shape shifter and united with his people in the great link.

I took this raw material and turned it into a song about a dude recruited from the past by an intergalactic drug cartel to defend its Messianic psychic prophecy child from being assassinated. This "messiah" would grow up to be the most formidable leader, defeating the rival cartels and conquering the galaxy to ultimately sell narcotics to billions of species. The dude ultimately was just a projection of her psyche; in other words her future self created this guy in the past to protect her in the future, and so he was just a dream, which implies we may all be dreams of someone else's psyche!

Cassini is a band which seeks to create rock music without boundaries. In addition it is also about big riffs, even bigger guitar solos and prog rock wig outs. Every genre is up for grabs in the experimentation stakes.  The purpose of the Projekt is that no one listens to it. This music isn't for human ears. Viral popularity and societal definitions of success are irrelevant. The Projekt was set up in 2008 by a one Alex Mc Donnell following the breaking up of several previous bands.

Even though I scream inside because of America's shit show, I'm still Rebecca, an old hippie rocker. When you read my comments, hear them in a southern drawl. I’m a liberal from Georgia … yes, we do exist. I moved to Hawaii about 20 years ago. 

I’ve been around the block a few times. Played a lot of guitar and a bit of other instruments. Mostly I've worked as a visual artist. I've spent some years in the music biz with a major label and my own indie label. I’ve done some other interesting things, too, including: horse training, long motorcycle trips, movie set design, accompanying my wife on her pro bowling tours, and I've seen a good bit of the world. Now I’m retired and still keep busy doing all the things I want to do.
