You Don't Own Me

Sometime in the 1960s, a young boy in his dad's studio was creating something new...something extraordinary. He pulled out a record that was one of the most well known jazz essentials: "In A Sentimental Mood" by the great Duke Ellington with John Coltrane. He set the record up and let it play. The opening motif caught his ear...and then...something amazing happened. That very boy found a way to take that opening motif and transfer it to two keys on a secondary keyboard. It was this very day...the earliest form of sampling was born. When people heard the new creation, they were left in shock...and that is how that ordinary teenage boy, just tinkering became known as: The Young Revolutionary.

You've heard of Jason. You've heard of Michael Myers...but...you may not have heard of Claude Yeager, AKA The Puma. When people enter Eldritch Forest, there's no telling whetheer theey'd make it...for The Puma lurks...waiting to deliver the finisher...

This special suite is dedicated to 5 of the greatest hip hop/rap songs ever. 

The old classical suite was comprised of movements called dances. However, the modernized orchestral suite is comprised of several different pieces combined into one orchestral work. Because of the varying key signatures, each piece (referred to as a movement) is seperated by interludes which allow for the transitioning to the new key and new piece. 

This is the 5 and a half minute full WIP. A 5 minute cut version will be uploaded for stream feedback.

Suite From Da Hood (Mvmt 1-5 [Mvmt 5 Intro Only])

It was all over...there they stood...victorious...but at what cost? Their beloved city now lay in ruins. It was a long road of recovery up ahead. 

The melody of this piece is based off a contemporary worship song. With the adjusted chords and change from major to a minor foundation and slight variation, the original victorious melody is now a rather haunting and somewhat sorrowful cry that portrays the cost of being a superhero.
