Tunesday Recordings proudly presents its third release, bringing the two balearic pop originals "Brazilian Breeze" and "Mysterious Nights" from the sought-after 1986 LP "Leaving You" by Preludio to today's dance floors. The Italo-influenced songs mark the very first work of Peter LaSalle who has made a name for himself with several releases under the moniker Sound Surgeons in the 2000's.

As a first endeavour under the moniker DNA (standing for Danny, Norm & Andres), the trio centered around Andres Astorga aka Trujillo brings out their own vsionary reworks with nothing but the songs' titles as inspiration. On "Brazilian Breeze", they dive deep into an ocean-blue rippling with cool synthesizer sequences and steel drums. "Mysterious Nights" teases you into a Linn Drum-driven adventure in which hazy waves mingle with late 80's guitar licks and soothing brasses.

ℝ𝕒𝕔𝕜𝕙𝕒𝕞 𝕃𝕖 𝔾𝕣𝕠𝕠𝕧𝕖 Red alert 🚨 Watch out for this truly ridiculous zouk banger! 100% dance-floor heat sure to light up any crowd, this is without doubt one of our favourite ever uploads on the channel. Everything that's magical about zouk is present here, an example of some of the best things this genre has to offer! 

Joyous, yet beautifully bittersweet vocals accompany mind blowing horn sections, with a killer baseline holding the groove. The track refers to 'divine sunshine' which is apt as thats exactly the feeling and imagery this wonderful song elicits

Big credit to monsieur Rackham Le Groove for the all important dig and tweaks to maximise the utility of this DJ tool. The snares in particular are a wonderful addition. We really can't claim too much credit here at DT, we instantly fell in love with RCKHM's first edit, but upon repeat plays decided to loop some horn sections and remove several breaks that we felt didn't maximise the energy and dance-floor effect this wicked track can offer! Plus you can still checkout the initial edit on RCKHM's soundcloud.

A sultry, proto-house number with lyrics reminiscent of early 80s boogie, and a rhythm section conjuring that golden 90s aesthetic.

This is the lead track from a small compilation of edits of tracks we discovered over the summer. 

When the recent conflict broke out between Israel & Gaza, we felt uncomfortable promoting some random edits we made from the safety of our bedrooms when so many people are suffering.

All proceeds from the sale of these edits will go to Save the Children Gaza and to Save the Children Ukraine, who are operating to help those most at need during these tough times.

Tape Lab x Brillman, Bad Weather 26.06.24:

It's getting hotter, drier, wetter and more extreme every day. Little by little. An omnipresent haze of unseen greenhouse gas. Bad Weather getting worse. Bad Weather you believe it or not. An incremental, subtle centigrade of decimals. Sound swirls, a high-pressure system of atmosphere and entropy.

Two things taken together: Brillman x Tape Lab and global warming. Both coming at you all the time on all sides. Unavoidable yet often ignored.

If you don’t feel it, just wait. Echoes from the past, thought long lost to the ice, thawed and dislodged - glacial gifts as artifacts frozen for the future. A yawning and unexplored expanse of liminal space in between the calm and calamity - a cocooning cacophony.

A cyclical ricochet reverb bounced back and forth across a rapidly warming earth.

Layers of samples compose an atmosphere, insulating from and for chaos and Kaossilator. Words concealed as sound speak volumes behind a Vangelic vision.
