The latest installment in our free download series welcomes Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada with their much requested take on Depeche Mode’s ‘The Things You Said’. As frequent studio partners since remixing Upercent’s ‘Pulsacions’ in 2017, Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada have become one of the progressive scene’s most beloved production teams. The duo have built a strong synergy over what has been a six-year creative swell, showcasing their original material on Nick’s The Soundgarden imprint, while also recording a string of impressive remixes for DAYS like NIGHTS, Get Physical, Proton Music and many more trendsetting imprints. Always looking for new avenues to test their creative chops, the duo took to re-imagining Depeche Mode’s ‘The Things You Said’ earlier this year. Released in 1987 as part of the band’s ‘Music for the Masses’, an album widely regarded to encompass the best styles from both ‘Black Celebration’ and ‘Violator’, ‘The Things You Said’ has stood the test of time and remains a high point on the seminal and much loved long-player. Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada have combined their extensive forces once again, knocking out a near nine-minute epic rendition which has not only been a staple in Nick’s recent sets, but also finds the duo landing more additive ever. Once again we’re proud to give you a mix from some of the world’s best selectors and this month showcases another favorite - it’s Brooklyn’s JKriv! We met Jason while he was holding down basslines for incredible acoustic House band Tortured Soul, which he followed swiftly by a stint in NYC disco-obsessed group Escort (amazing!), then linking up with Aaron Dae to create the influential Razor-N-Tape label empire! Since then the man has been living the disco dream, traveling the world playing tunes, making some fantastic music (check out his groovy and soothing Within EP) and opening the RNT record shop in addition to being a wonderful human being. 

He’s hooked us up with a poolside killer that has us dreaming of hot, hazy afternoons treading water, mornings when there’s nothing to do but soak in some rays, & nights of wine & torchlit patios. We hope you enjoy as much as we do!

DJ and producer Elado has carved out a unique niche in the electronic scene with his infectious blend of rare global grooves, disco edits, and crate-digging wizardry. A lifelong vinyl obsessive, Elado rose to international acclaim in 2020 with his debut on Razor-N-Tape, catching the attention of selectors like Hunee, Antal, and Gerd Janson.

His sound fuses African rhythms, Middle Eastern melodies, and vintage disco with modern dancefloor energy-equal parts joyful and surprising. Tracks like “Gulab Jamun” and “Big Baba” became cult favorites, blending humor, funk, and irresistible rhythm.

In 2024, he launched Big Baba Records, a platform for his own edits and global disco experiments, and also dropped “Funk Machine” on Barry Can’t Swim’s label, Earth’s Only Paradise, further cementing his reputation for genre-defying dancefloor magic.

One of our longtime NY peeps, Duane has always taken his own path and carved out a meaningful sensibility away from the various trends that come and go. (bearded hipster take note!) One of the founding residents of NYC's famed APT, Duane has played at pretty much every significant NY spot high and low for the past 15 years. One of the leading producers and remixers in contemporary dance music, Cambridge raised Ray Mang, (Raj Gupta) hardly needs an intro. Under the name Ray Mang, (also under Laj, Sir Raymond Mang, Block 16, & Motif) he has written and recorded tracks with people like Jon Lucien, Bim Sherman, Jhelisa, Kier Kerby, Robert Owens and Mozez. He has also remixed tracks for disco heroes like Roxy Music, Banda Black Rio, Terry Callier, Freddie Mercury, Beck, Shirley Bassey, Bryan Ferry and Grace Jones amongst others.
