The SPECIAL DELIVERY – the vinyl iteration of I'm A Cliché's EDIT SERVICE – is back. After last year's first instalment in the series that featured acclaimed edits by Red Axes and Rouge Mécanique, this time around we commit to wax four edits that come courtesy of Mannequin Records' A.A. We'll let you connoisseurs trace back the originals.

A1. Systa — Driven by female vocals and a LinnDrum groove this mid-tempo edit is a melodic and elegant affair. As the track progresses it becomes more and more ominous and there is no doubt you’ll witness the dance floor breaking down while it’s played.

A2. Atema — An uptempo number where production and vocals harken back to the sound of Italian new wave. Culled from an ultra rare cassette-only release, this is a compelling track that will make everybody feel the rhythm of the dance. 

B1. Pava — Another reminder that Italian film soundtracks from the late 70’s and early 80’s are absolute gold mines. This number where bass guitar, live drums and a fair share of analog keyboards are used truly stands out thanks to its plodding groove and slow motion dance-inducing rhythm. Perfect for warm-ups or wind-downs. 

B2. Lapi — If there’s a banger on the EP, this is it. Retro-futuristic, dark and catchy this rare minimal wave cut is quite irresistible and this edit is bound to cause some interesting damage on the dance floor.

Each copy is hand-stamped and come with an exclusive poster (40x60cm) folded and inserted in a picture disc-style PVC sleeve.

The small boat bobbed on the water, looking for a place to dock before dawn broke. The two brothers scanned the shore before honing in on a derelict cove shrouded in darkness. They couldn't be caught, they had travelled for too long to risk their cover being blown. As they moored up and stepped on to solid ground, they gazed up at the famous skyline before them; a sight they had only ever seen before in books and paintings. This would be their new home; a place where they could make their names known. The unsuspecting city had no idea what they were in for...

Lithuanian-based producer Pletnev returns to local label Le Temps Perdu for his second EP, following his 2017 debut with 'St. Bones'. His diverse productions have taken him to labels like SZE, Fleeting Wax, Meda Fury and Hard Fist, with sounds spanning percussive tools to EBM and leftfield cuts. His forthcoming EP, 'Voranto Bros', features blinding remixes from CockTail d'Amore bosses Discodromo and Biologic Records' Lion's Drums.

As the King Cobra uncoils from a woven basket and flares out its iconic hood, it appears to sway back and forth hypnotically as the snake charmer plays his flute. Timpani solos, a variety of percussion, syncopated rhythms and colorful harmonies are woven together to create an exotic tapestry of sound that will captivate young musicians and their audiences. Puma & The Dolphin releases their first EP and it is massive. Our pick up is a B1 track -  "Cobra Dance".
Taking a similar yet slightly different aproach to the post-punk sound of previous tracks, this tune features a catchy bassline and groovy percussion, alternating between vocal samples, melodic elements, and rhythmic phrases. PREMIERE #611 | Puma & The Dolphin - Cobra Dance [Chambre Noire] 2019

Expert Bouncers signals the return of Stevie R to his imprint Inside Out Records, working with longtime collaborator and modular synthesis expert TAOMA. The EP starts off with Orbit carrot, a high-energy, left-field disco track with modular experiments, heavily destroyed vocal samples and a sense of musical freedom balanced with maturity that is characteristic of Stevie R’s recent releases. No-holding back remixes by “Intergalactic house” legend Man Power and peak-time expert Freudenthal complete the first part of this EP. Sequential biscuits is a wonky collection of modular acid lines produced in the studio during a late night jam, and re-worked in a slow, percussion based dub by Parisinos.
