Mix of the Week #578: Charp - Wet Boogie 2

Born and grown up in a small town near Venice, in Italy, Special Q started to make his way influenced, since his youth, by 80's music cassettes,thanks to his brother. Beginning from 80's italo disco, passing through  french touch style, house and nudisco music, going back to 70's funky groove, Special Q takes this rich mix to create his personal sound. Filtered synths, retourned delay flanger  sounds, vocoder and a lot of secrets drops, make his music really attractive and so groovy.

Charp arrived on Shanghai electronic scene in 2008 , and in short order, became one of its prominent figures . He launched few renowned residencies around town, in Mao Club and Lola Club, which made him share the desk with international artist as well as playing in Shanghai biggest outdoor festival or fashion events. His association with Thoma Cher and the creation of their weekly party “ Holly Sh*t “ at Lola , brings him to a new step : booking. Per 2012, They started to book international artist to their well-known weekly party . Strengthened by these sophisticated and efficient experiences, he is now expending around China and Asia . Charp channeled a voracious appetite for several styles of music - including disco, house, and techno. His DJ set has been spotted for his energetic and melodious way of understanding music, always stiring up the audience.
